Gジャンを着用してる人を見かけて襟がコーデュロイだったら
『お！裏付きだ！』
ってなりますよね。

単純にデザインとしても気に入ってるディテールの一つですが、着用して肌に触れた時にとても優しい生地。
朝にバサっと羽織った時に体温で温まるまでに冷んやりする襟より常温に感じる方が良いですよね。
軍服でもフライトジャケットのB-15Aの腰ポケットの袋布やマウンテンパーカーのハンドウォーマーポケットの生地に採用をされてて同じコットンの場合でもツイル系より何故か温かみを感じるのが特徴です。
そんなちょっとした工夫がストームライダーには有るんだよなと感心してたのですが今回作ってもう一つ気付く事がありました。
Levi系と違ってLeeの襟は襟裏に裏当てが入って4本のステッチが入っています。帽子のツバでもステッチが入るだけで生地にコシが生まれて型崩れ防止になるのと同じでステッチが入ることによりコーデュロイの襟を立てて着用することも可能になりより防風性を増す工夫がされてる事に気付きました。
是非少し首周りが寒い時はサッと襟を立てて着用して見るのも試して頂ければと思います。

Every time I see people on the street wearing a denim jacket with a corduroy collar, I immediately notice that it’s actually a lined jacket. I like the details as a part of the designs but I like the feeling even more when I wear them, soft and kind even in a chilly morning. In addition to the detail on the Lee collar, it has some reinforcement stitches on the back of the collar with a sew-in interfacing inside. This makes a huge difference on the shape of the collar and comes in handy when you turn up a collar on some windy day. Every detail is thought through for sure and people back then made the best use of creativity!
