TCBではここ数年は毎年冬になると、Gジャンやカバーオールのライニング付きを作成してきました。
自分自身もそうですが、冬に化学繊維の洗えないダウン等を作業着として着て袖や首周りがボロボロになっても様にならない。
であればいつも纏うGジャンやカバーオールの裏付きを作れば冬でも暖かいのでは無いか？と

しかし私が10代の頃はブランケット付きのGジャンは人気が無く、ブランケットを剥がして販売されてる事も良く有りました。

そんな経験から裏付きのワークウエアなんて作るのが大変なだけで受け入れられるのかな？
という不安が有りました。

ですが50’sJKを発表した3年前、そんな不安は一蹴されました。

冬でも空調の効かない所で働くプロユースの方から
『待ってたよ！』
とブランケット以上に暖かいお言葉の嵐（笑）
自分が小学生の時に見たドラマの
ジャケットをひっくり返してブランケットを表にして着る提案にも
『確かに当時古着屋の店員さんがそうやって着てました！』
と懐かしむお客さんもいてそのやりとりも嬉しかったですね。

それからは1stJK,フードもデタッチャブル出来るカバーオールと毎年の楽しみの一つになっておりますが,

さて話を今年に戻しまして
working Cat Heroが出来た時からこの日を狙ってました。
ゴールデンライナーが特徴の888MJLモデルを作らせて頂きます。

通常ライニング付きといえばウール混紡のボーダー柄が多いのですが、このモデルはコットンのフランネル素材。

もちろんウールより暖かさは劣るのかも知れませんが通常のGジャンとは違う暖かさを感じる事が出来ると思います。

勘違いされない様に書きますが私たちは無理やり冬だからライニング付きのGジャンを作ろうとは思いません。
むしろ作りたいジャケットが無くなった際にはTCBのライニングシリーズは終了させるつもりです。

We have released a new lined jacket every winter in the past few years and I was secretly thinking we’d make Wrangler one next year! Speaking of my preference on outer clothes, down jackets made of chemical fibers are pretty light and warm, I know … but as you keep wearing them the sleeves get frayed and they look shabbier and shabbier every year, which I don’t like pretty much. So, I always end up wearing some lined jacket or coverall for winter.

Recalling my old memory, I would say any vintage lined jackets were much less popular 20~30 years ago and I often saw the lined jackets sold at vintage shops with the lining intentionally taken off. So, before the release, I was pretty afraid that our customers wouldn’t really like them but the fog of my anxiety cleared immediately after the release of our first lined jacket 3 years ago. We unexpectedly received even warmer messages from customers than the jackets themselves, especially from those who worked outside like carpenters.

In addition, I posted many photos of us wearing the jacket inside out like some famous Japanese actors used to do in TV series and many reacted to it feeling a bit nostalgic about the old days, haha.

Getting back to the story of the Wrangler lined jacket, we are releasing our Hard Working Hero Jacket in reverence to the 888MJL, the iconic detail of which is the golden lining.When it comes to the material of the lining for this kind of denim work wears, mixed wool and stripe pattern is very common but this jacket has the cotton flannel inside. It’s not that TCB makes lined jackets every year but we will stop producing lined jackets when we don’t have anything we really want to make.

There are not so many variations in the lined jackets so maybe in a few years our lining series will end. But this one is something we really wanna make and wear ourselves!
