現在生産中の20’sJacket
1920年代という時代はまだパターンが未熟だったのか？
作業効率の為でしょうか？
この時代の型紙は全体的に直線的です。
その特徴の一つが襟の形です。
着用した時に真横に広がる襟が印象的ですが、パターンで見ると本当に長方形をしてます。
肩の傾斜も1920年代のVintageに合わせてるので平置きした時の角度が一緒なのが確認して頂けると思います。

もう一つ面白いのが、長方形で襟が真っ直ぐだったせいだと思うのですがVintageの襟の縫い代を覗くとセルビッチが確認出来ます。
TCB20’sも同じように耳使いにしてます。折ってますのでもちろん隠れますが是非手に取ってみて下さい。チラッと白耳が覗きます。

あと個人的には第一ボタンまで四角い襟を楽しみたいなと思っております。

四角い長方形のパーツが襟になります。
生地端に置いてるので耳使いになる事が確認出来ると思います。
あえてサイズ46のマーキングを公開してますが後ろ身頃がもしT-Backになってなかったら生地幅が足りない事も確認して頂けると思います。

Was making cut pattern immature back in the 20s? or was it for more efficiency?
One thing I can say about cut patterns for old clothings is that they used much more straight lines compared to now. One of them is the collar, which goes wide spread when worn but if you look at the cut pattern, it’s a complete rectangle, which is very unusual in making clothes nowadays.

Also, I figured that the selvedge part of the fabric was used on the collar part but the selvedge part is hidden inside. We did the same for our repro so you might figure that we’ve done a perfect reproduction on the collar when your jacket is beaten up and the threads fall apart to show you the hidden part there.
