思い返せば2020年、寒い冬を楽しむ為に。そして空調を使えない場所で働いてる人に頑張って貰う為に、化学繊維では無く洗えて育てる事が出来るワークウエアを作りたいと思い始めたプロジェクト。

当時岡山の付き合いの有る生地屋さんに相談しても話は難航し作る事を諦めてた矢先に相談したのが20年以上戦友のXXDEVELOPMENTの社長の太一くん。岐阜から近くの一宮というエリアに毛織物の産地が有って、どうやら作って貰えそうとの事で当時2ndのブランケット507XXと共に逢いに行きました。

あれから今年は３回目のプロジェクトになります。
冬に向けて2023年6月14日に私は新幹線に乗りました。
今回もXXDEVELOPOMENTの太一くんにプロデュースをお願いしてVintageを元に糸の規格。色番手も相談に乗って貰って始まりました。

まず一番先に思う事は今年も一宮に来る事が出来て60年選手の佐藤さんとションヘルに逢えて良かった。
生々しい事を書くのは失礼かも知れませんが、日本でションヘル織機を使って洋服を作るのはあと何年出来るのかな？とも感じます。
これは私が2000年に児島に移住した時に感覚によく似てます。
（実は太一くんもそこには危機感を感じておりションヘルに対してメスを入れようとしてるので何処かで語って貰いたい）

繊維に携わる40代に何が出来るのかを自問自答しながらションヘルで織られた生地を使う事で何かしらのメッセージになれば良いなと思います。

今年もションヘルに逢いに行かせて頂きありがとう御座いました。

Back in 2020, TCB started our lined jacket project for those who work outside. And we don’t like clothes made of chemical made fabrics because they are just to wither and look worse but what we like is something we can grow together with.

At first, I was not familiar with wool weaving factories who had the vintage Schonherr weaving machines as Okayama, where we are, is not the place to weave wool but denim. But my friend, Taichi, who runs XX Development in Gifu told me that his area used to be a big wool producing area and he gave me a hand.

Since then, 3 years passed and this will be the 3rd project for winter and I hopped on a bullet train to Gihu on 14th June 2023. I met Sato-san who has worked for wool weaving job for more than 60 years and simply felt so happy to see him again. But at the same time I also felt worried thinking how many more years Japan can produce fabrics in the good old way.

I often cast a question to myself as a person involved in the fashion industry. What can I do for the industry? I’ll talk about it when the time has come but for now, please look forward to our new release!
