TCBは縫製がアウトソーシングでは無く自社工場製だからこそ逆に忘れがちな事なんだけど、物作りをするって結局は現場に脚を運んで顔を合わせて忘れられないようにしてお願いして帰るが基本だなと思います。
TCBにとって外部にお願いする仕事で１番ウエイトを占めるのが生地作りになるんですが、今日は久しぶりに井原の力織機に逢いに行って美味しい物を現場の人と食べて帰ってきました。
鬼が笑うくらい来年の話をして自分たち自身も良い笑顔で来年も物作りが出来たら良いなと思うそんな時間でした。

TCB doesn’t outsource the sewing but we sew all our products by ourselves, which can be why we tend to forget this: it’s the most important to visit factories and show your passion to manufactures.
For us, weaving is something we can’t do but ask professionals to do for us. To show my gratitude to the partnered factory, I visited them and had a dinner together. Laughing a lot and got drunk like we were young boys. You might think it’s a bit old fashioned business but considering we make jeans with the sewing machines from 100 years ago and the fabrics used are woven by the machines from 80 years ago, it might feel kinda natural, haha. But without the relationship like this, it’s very difficult to make good stuff in Japan!
