サスペンダーボタンだけだったWaist Overallsにベルトループが付くようになったのが1922年。
そういえば今年はベルトループ誕生100周年と言っても良いのかもしれません。
そんな2022年も終盤の11月に無事TCB20’sの在庫補充が完了しました。

写真の様にクラシックワークの雰囲気で少しサイズ大き目をサスペンダーで吊るのもカッコいいし。
100年前の先人の知恵に感謝してベルトで締めるのもカッコ良いと思います。
実は100周年をあんまり意識してなかったんだけど2022年に再販できて良かったです。
何故かこのモデルはベルトループだけ別生地が使われてます。
少しだけ薄い生地を使ってたのはバータックの貫通力が無かったからなのでしょうか？
こういう工場都合の仕様が100年経つとデザインにも感じるんですがからモノづくりはロマンチックです。

100年前からベルトループミシンの構造は変わってないと思いますが、こういうミシンを開発した先人には本当に感謝しか無いと思います。
100年後、ベルトは有りますか？

The first jeans born were without belt loops and it’s said that they started to be attached to jeans from 1922. So, in other words, it’s the 100th anniversary for belt loops this year! 20’s jeans will be back in stock next Monday or so!

Like the pictures show, you can style the 20’s Jeans in a classic way with suspenders or you can just use a belt appreciating the wisdom of old days. I didn’t really notice its anniversary until I wrote this blog. It was out of my focus.

Speaking of the belt loops of 20’s Jeans, a different fabric from the one of the jeans is used for the belt loops. Why? Nobody knows the answer but there are various stories: Levis wanted to cut down the production cost, bar tuck machines were not developed enough to punctuate thick denim fabrics, or Levis attached them after non-belt loop models didn’t sell anymore.

Anyways, I think the most plausible reason was due to the machines but after 100 years the different belt loops can be seen as a design, right? I feel something romantic about it haha.
