現在予約受付中のTwo Cat’s Series Denimのメイキング。
写真はまだ序盤の様に見えますが、9/4現在ほぼ縫製は完了しており来週から洗い工程に入ります。
一応予約開始した時に8月末から9月下旬の納品という設定だったので約束通りに皆様の元にお届け出来そうで一安心です。
縫製を終えて思う事。
1910年代のVintageを観ながらミシンをセッティングして作った今回のprojectですが、100年以上前に既にチェーンステッチや二本針ミシン、比翼に使ってる眠り穴やトップのボタンホールの穴等のミシンが開発されてた事が驚きででした。あ！オーバーロックも忘れちゃダメです。2枚目の画像を観て下さい。チープなオーバーロックが可愛いですよね。
私たち世代はパイオニアには成れないんだろうけど、しっかりと伝えて持続させる世代でありたいと思いました。

The pictures show the beginning stage of the production but we have finished all the sewing part already for both logwood and pure indigo. Now our partnered wash factory, Whoval, is washing them so we are finally relived that we can finish delivering everything before the end of Sep.

My impressions after finishing the sewing.
We first change the machine setting for each machine but I realized again that it’s unbelievable that sewing machines for lap seams, two-needle single stitch, button holes, etc already existed more than 100 years ago.
Also, we can’t forget about the overlock. It looks kinda cheapskate but in a good and old way.

I think TCB doesn’t need to be a pioneer in the industry at all but I feel we should be the one to sustain the denim industry and to pass down the knowledge to make vintage-alike jeans to the next generation. I have much more to talk on this subject.
