3月のBlogでは少し案内をしてましたが本日再開したS40’sの予約受付分から値段を改定させて頂く運びとなりました。
S40’sは他の生地に比べて、沢山の綿を確保していたのでしばらく価格据え置きで販売出来ていたのですが、綿のロットが変わったのでこのタイミングでの価格改訂となりました。
現在、世の中では値上げラッシュが起こっていて、一見消費者目線で言えばネガティブな印象は有るのは否めません。きっと皆さん同様のお気持ちかと思います。ですが、この動きがジーンズ業界を守る事に繋がれば嬉しく思います。綿が無いとjeansも作れなくなる。衣食住の食に当てはめて考ええて見ると、恐ろしいですよね。

We announced that the prices for our S40’s would soon increase but we had no choice but to do so from the next production run. We’ve kept more cotton for the S40’s fabric but it ran out so that we are now working on making the threads for the next batch of fabric but the cotton price increases from the run this time.

I think a burst of price increase has been happening in many industries throughout the world, which I think have a negative impact from the viewpoint of consumers. I think you also agree with this.
However, we think this leads to maintaining the Japanese denim industry. Without cotton, we can’t make jeans.

We’ve started taking pre-orders for S40’s with the new price on our JP and ENG website.
