ブランケットを作る時に全面的に協力して貰ったXXDEVELOPMENTの太一くんから
『窓際に置いてた最初に作ったブランケットの生地が日焼けで良い感じに褪色してる』
って写真が届きました。
もちろん初めて作ったブランケットは4年経ってるのですぐに変化する訳では無いのですが日光や空気で酸化や日焼けします。
最初にビビットに感じたピンクが少しづつ燻んでくれるのもDENIM側とは違う経年変化の楽しみ方です。
LINEが届いてからすぐに裏返しでの着用でコーヒーを飲みながらデッキで日光浴。
本日の話題は
『7イレブンのコーヒーが美味しいと思ってるんだけど、LOWSONの店員が可愛いから最近はそっちのコーヒーを飲んでる』
という２つのヨコシマな話。
ピンク色は色褪せてからが勝負笑

このジャケットのセットアップとなるCats Drive Jeans の次の生産予定が決まりました。

Taichi from XX Development sent me some pictures of the sun-burnt blanket fabric we used when making the 50s Lined jacket 4 years ago. At first the fabric shows some vivid colors but the pink stripe got more pale as well as the other colors, which I think is a part of enjoying these lined jackets.

After seeing the pic, I went out to the balcony with the jacket inside out to get the fade process on the wool side going. When I studied in New Zealand 20 years ago, I bought a Pigs Wheel pink T-shirt and put it in a washing machine and my host father found it and he found it quite surprising that I wore a pink T-shirt. I now feel faded pink is a good color for men;)
