タイトルの通りですが、Online Storeに20’s Jeansを補充しました。
先日のblogでも語りましたがサスペンダーボタンとベルトループとバックシンチが付く丁度100年前にあたる1922年の仕様を2022年にギリギリ補充出来て良かったと思います。
そういえばTCB20’sを作るキッカケになったVintageを初めて見た時の事を思い出しました。
結構履き込んでる割には革パッチがシットリとしたままで綺麗。
すぐにこの革パッチはまだ熱を加えられた事が無いのかも？と想像出来ました。
47年頃の革パッチの頃ってジャーキー状になってるジーンズが多いのはアメリカのランドリーの普及の証拠だと思ってます。
恐らく1920年には乾燥機はまだ無く、レザーが綺麗なままだったんだと思います。
私はその経験から1920年代にトリップしたつもりで洗いも控えて乾燥機も使わずに付き合ってました。
戦前のVintageに大迫力の色落ちが多いのは、リアルに作業着だったのが1番の大きな要因ですが、洗濯方法の時代感の違いも有りますね。

もちろん2022年は自由に付き合えば良いんですが、1922年になったつもりで洗濯するという付き合い方は意外と面白いですよ。是非試してみて下さい。恐らく家族からは冷たい反応でしょうけど笑

20’s Jeans are back online after 6 months of out-of-stocks.
In the previous blog, I appreciated the 100the anniversary of belt loops and I’m glad we could have them back before its anniversary year ends.

Speaking of when I was working on the reproduction of this pair, the leather patch caught my eyes because it remained very soft and moistured unlike the beef jerky-like leather patch you see on 50’s vintage. I thought hm maybe drying machines were not really spread in that era. After I had this thought, I also started to wash this pair not using drying like they used to be as if I time slipped to 20’s.
I think the biggest reason why vintage jeans before the WW2 time usually look so great is because they were real work wears but also how the washing standard was must have had an impact too.

It’s 2022 this year so it’s up to you how you wanna enjoy this pair! But if you haven’t tried hand wash, maybe it’s a good idea! Maybe your wife or partner think of you going crazy a bit haha.
