リペアでTCBにピットインしてる60’sと505

このジーンズの生地はS40’sや50’sに対して色が淡いのが特徴ですが、どっちが良いか悪いかでは無くて、この青さには青さの良さが有ると思ってます。
These 60’s Jeans pitted in for some repairs. The fabric of our 60’s has more bluish tinge than S40’s or 50’s but it’s neither good nor bad but each fabric just reflects the history of jeans.

私はいつも、ジーンズの洗い方をジーンズの年代を加味して決めてます。
1880年代の頃のジーンズを洗う時は手洗いにしたり、20-40’sのイメージだと洗濯機で洗うけど乾燥機は使わないみたいな感じです。
それはたまたまなのかも知れませんが古着で1920年代のジーンズの革パッチが硬化してなくて綺麗だった時のを見た時に『恐らく乾燥機に入った事は無いかも？』って想像を膨らました経験から始めました。

I always decide how to wash jeans based on the era of the jeans manufactured. I mean if the jeans were of 1880 I’d hand wash them, or if the jeans is of 20~40’s I’d use washing machine but no drying machine.
I have the original pair of 501 from 1922, which was the very model of our 20’s Jeans but when I first started to study the pair, one thing that I immediately noticed was that the leather patch on the jeans was hardly hardened at all unlike 501 xx from 50’s or later and I inflated this kind of my imagination to how I wash my jeans.

だから60’sや505を穿く場合だと乾燥機を使ってドライな赤いブルーに仕上げたいと思うはずです。
Vintageの66と比べて撮影しても遜色ない。
そんなイメージ通りの色落ちだったので紹介させて頂きました。

So, I machine wash and dry 60’s or 505 to get the right fades and the person who faded these jeans did the same I guess because the color, the tinge, the fades are just like vintage 66 model or 505. Everything is just on the spot.

We are doing English Live stream for our overseas fans!

We have done several english IG lives so far but this time especially for our European fans and also we are inviting a special guest, Mr. Bryan Szabo. He is the co-founder of Indigo Invitational, one of the biggest fade contests going on right now. We know most of you already know him and the fade contest but if you don’t it’s surely worth checking out!

Basically Bryan has kindly prepared a bunch of questions about TCB, Japanese denim scenes, Japanese mills etc and TCB will answer to them in English. He is a writer for some denim curation website such as Denim Hunters so I’m sure the live stream will be full of geeky/in-depth info about what we all love, denim.

Hajime and I have to get up at 3am in the morning to do this live so we really hope people would come and watch it, hopefully have fun!
