1年振りにSlim50’s SlimR50 の補充が完了しました。
この２つは50’sという名前が付いてる通り生地と縫製仕様をTCB50’sと同じ縫い方にしております。
ただ,シルエットは50年代に作られてたという意味では無くTCB独自で作ったシルエット。
Slim50’sは股上が浅く腰回りはXXらしさが残りながら膝から裾に掛けてゆるやかなテーパード
SlimRに関しては腰回りもスッキリしてるし膝より下も結構絞られてます。
もちろんTCB50’sはコットン100%の生地であくまでもノンストレッチデニムとして穿けるシルエットで構築してますのでストレッチデニムを使う前提のスキニーデニムとは別の考えになります。
何故TCBがこういうコンセプトのジーンズを作ったの？って話ですが
一つはTCBの店頭では私の前後10歳30代-50代の方が多い印象ですが、
『昔はXXベースのシルエットを穿くのが好きだったけど段々Theアメカジっぽい格好はしてなくて..でも色落ちは楽しみたいんです』
って声を何人もから聞いたのがキッカケです。
あともう一つはJAPAN DENIMが大好き！って言ってくれる世界中の海外の方が求めてる日本のジーンズってのを整理していった結果辿り着いたのがこの2つのシルエットでした。
いつもこの例え話が好きですが、日本車が海外に輸出される際に左ハンドル仕様になってるイメージといえば分かりやすいでしょうか。
左ハンドルのアコードで90年代にブイブイ言わせた世代の皆さん。ジーンズは最近穿いてないと言わずにSlim50とSlimRを逆輸入仕様として是非試してみて下さい笑

It’s been a year since the last restock for the Slim 50’s and Slim R.
As the names go, these two pairs are sewn in the same way as our 50’s regular jeans but with a different pattern.
As for Slim 50’s, they have a low rise with a mild tapering. Slim R have a bit higher rise with stronger tapering.

Both are made of unsanforized denim so if you are used to skinny jeans made of stretching fabric, you might find the fit a bit uncomfortable at the beginning but once jeans are shaped into your body build, I think the fit feels much more comfortable for sure.

TCB is a hardcore vintage repro brand so we sometimes hear from customers why we had to make our original slimmer cut.
One reason is that we have hard core denim fans as well as those who like denim but are not deeply into the vintage style. We love vintage but we just want to deliver the coolness of jeans to whoever would like to try our jeans. simple as that. The other reason is that it seems overseas denim fans prefer slim jeans to regular jeans? This is just my perception but I often feel so.
Maybe, It’s the same thing as Japanese people not really wearing Kimono because it kinda makes you feel like you are costume-playing with our own traditional clothings?
