7月はTCBの生地を織ってますよと一報頂いたんで井原までアイスクリームを持って力織機に逢いに行ってきました。
いつもRyo君と行く事が多いので私か彼のどちらかが登場し工場にお邪魔してますという写真を撮りたくなるのですが、今回は私一人で伺った事も有り、働いてる皆さんを撮影。
デジタル化はされておらずパンチカードで生地のレシピを打ち込む人。
腰を曲げて力織機の設定をしてる人
織り上がった生地を目視で全てチェックしてる人。
毎回思うけど行きより帰りの方がDENIMがより好きになってる自分がいます。

Nihon Menpu told me that they would weave TCB custom made fabric in July so I payed a visit to their factory to meet our fabric being woven. I mainly took photos of the people working in the denim weaving this time. Degitalization hasn’t yet to come in the factory as their machines visually tell us so. A guy was typing some recipe of fabric on a punched card. A guy was doing the machine setting for a few hours.
I often visit our partnered factories but every time I go to see them I feel I get to like jeans more, which is what I always feel on my way back.

Speaking of Niho Menu factory, our 60’s, 505, and Two cats Waist Overall both logwood & natural indigo are woven here at this great factory. I think they make one of the best fabrics in the world in terms of the fade accuracy of their fabric to vintage fabric.
