Blouseの胸ポケットもRivetを使えない時代特有のミシンワーク。
Vintageをマジマジと観るまではポケットを縫い付けた後、最後に三角のステッチを何度も入れるのだと思ってたのですが、運針を追っかけるとどうやら一筆縫い。
グルグルと右上を縫ってコバステッチを入れた後左上をグルグルしてダブルステッチの内側を縫うというコースになります。
恐らく気をつけないと途中で下糸が無くなる事も有ります。

Looking at the chest pocket sewing, there are dart stitches to reinforce the pocket sewing.
Looking closely at it, it seems the dart stitches and the single stitch on the pocket are sewn in one stroke.
Cutting threads during the production is very time consuming so maybe people judged it was the most efficient way but it’s also risky for the bottom thread to run out during the sewing so we gotta be careful on that! Our young sewing boys might be a bit nervous about who’s gonna be in charge of the pocket sewing on this jacket but hope they will enjoy the journey of the long one-stroke sewing on the pocket!
