S40’s Jeans Fade Contestの集計にお時間がかかってしまいましたが、本日より、4/8までこのブログ上で皆様の色落ちとコメントを紹介していきます。本当に素晴らしい色落ちが多いのですが、ブログ上では全てのお写真は紹介できません。4/8の最終紹介の際には、各参加者様ごとの全写真をダウンロード出来るリンクを準備しますので、ぜひ世界中の皆様が履き込んだS40’s Jeansの姿をぜひご覧になってください。また、最終の発表に関しては、Zoom ＆　Instagram Live (@tcbinoue アカウントより） の両方で中継をしたいと思っています。日程としては、4/23(土） 19:00~を予定しております。発表日付近になりましたら、改めてZoom トークへのリンクをご案内させて頂きます。

また、S40’s Jeansはコンテスト終了と共に販売を終了するのですか？とのご質問を頂きますが、TCBとしては今後も定番品番として作り続けていきますし、webstore上でもまだご予約を承っています。色落ちがどうなんだろうという事で悩まれていた方々も多くいらっしゃると思います。日本はじめ、世界のジーンズ好きが各々の履き方で色落ちさせて頂いたジーンズを紹介していきますので、ぜひご参考にいただければ幸いです。

We’d like to show you all the beautifully faded S40’s Jeans worn by people all around the world. This is a happy scream but there are too many good photos to narrow down which photos to upload here. In addition, this page might become too heavy to open so I will upload the link on the 8th April where you can download all the photos of each contestant so please check the outcome on each pair!

As for the winner announcement, we will do a Zoom Live/Instagram Live on 23rd April from 19:00 JP time. Each TCB staff will pick their 1,2,3 and will give each pair a comment for the top 3. I wonder who’s pair will win this time since each TCB crew has their own preference on fade! Please look forward to the winner announcement!

Lastly, we get often asked if we would discontinue S40’s series after the contest is over but we will continue making them and we are currently taking pre-order for the S40’s! so don’t worry about it, it’s now one of our permanent collection so you can buy them anytime!

コメント: My favorite detail is the crinkle of the fabric on the yoke and how it has faded in a Checkered pattern.
This pattern under the belt loop is my favorite. I really like this fade under the pocket stitching in the corner too. Great colour on the patch. Thanks so much for organizing my all of this.

気にいっているディテールは、まずヨークのシワに沿った色落ちだよ。チェッカー柄のように見えるでしょ？後は、ベルトループ周りの色落ち具合や、バックポケットの角あたりのステッチの色落ちもお気に入りだね。改めて、こんな機会をありがとう、TCB!

コメント/ I am very happy to be able to participate in this contest. There’s not much I can say. But this is a very valuable experience for me.TCB S40’s has a stiff and crisp fabric character. Whenever I wear it, I always love to see it. Day by day, the fading produced from this fabric is getting more and more charming. This is truly extraordinary work. I actually thought, these pants are like vintage jeans that have been archived. I’ve been through many stories with these jeans. I thank all the TCB crew and especially the contestants from all over the world. Hopefully we can meet another day or some other contest.

このコンテストに参加できて本当に嬉しく思っています。そこまで沢山私から語るべきことはないのですが、本当に貴重な体験ができました。TCB S40’sは固く、コシが強いという生地の特性があり、このジーンズを履くたびに喜びを感じましたし、日に日に、色落ちも進み、それと同時により愛着もわきました。本当に素晴らしいジーンズですし、TCBが参考にしたヴィンテージのS501XXそのもののように感じます。そして、このジーンズを履いて過ごした時間、ストーリーが沢山詰まったものになりました。改めて、TCBのメンバー、そして、世界中の参加者の皆さんに感謝します。いつの日か、また別のコンテストでお会いしましょう！

コメント/国内レプリカを初めて手にした２０年ほど前、学生時代。40代になった今、また根性履きをしたいと思うとは当時想像もしていませんでした。以下、この度実施した履き込み過程を、記憶を頼りに回想したいと思います。

S40’s到着後、塩と酢をドバッと入れたお湯で洗い、コインランドリー1h。
軽く湿らせ裏側からたっぷりのPVAでバキバキに糊付け→履き込み。
１年間洗わず毎日履くという目標を掲げたものの、10ヶ月目の６月、臭いに耐えかね子供プールに入水、塩でこすり洗い、履いたまま乾かしリフレッシュ。８月中間報告前、塩とwarehouseデニムウォッシュで子供プールにin→履いたまま乾かす。
家族の「パパは何やってんだ（失笑）」という表情にも余裕の笑顔。
ここまでが、縮みによるアタリと、ヒゲやハチノスのメリハリを両立させたい気持ちでストイックに過ごした期間。

これ以降は、洗剤も洗濯法も適当に、楽に履けて身体にフィットした日常着となりつつあります。
１年半共に過ごした、仕事の相方のような存在。英語が苦手なのでSUFUの投稿はしませんでしたが、世界の皆さんの画像を見るのが週末の楽しみでした。この度は素敵なコンテストに参加させて頂きありがとうございました。

It was maybe about 20 years ago when I first bought a pair of so-called vintage repro jeans. I was a student back then and now I’m in my 40’s. I never thought I would join No-Shampoo club again like 20 years ago (no jeans wash club in other words). I try to recall how I’ve worn my jeans in the past 18 months.

After the delivery, I hot washed again the jeans with the water mixed with salt and vinegar and then tumble dried for about an hour. Then, before it’s fully dried, I used PVA starching a lot and then I started wearing the jeans. I upheld this goal: I will never wash these jeans in the 18 months to come but I gave up on it 10 months after because of the extraordinary smell… So in the last June, I took out a kiddy pool in my garden and rubbed my jeans with a handful of salt and then had them dried while wearing. I did the same again in August as well. My wife and kids were like what the heck is daddy doing with the jeans? ,with their eyes rolling but I always smiled back, thinking that this is my own little world and hobby so please leave me alone!lol.
I wanted to have the roping/fades that come from the shrinkage of the fabric & the threads but at the same time I wanted the strong whiskers and honeycombs so I’d been as stoic on the fade as I could have been!
Now the hard part of the fade journey has ended and now it’s my every day go-to pants. This pair is like my work partner I spend the last 18 months. I’m not good at English so I didn’t post on Sufu but it was my weekend hobby to check the fade pics from all around the world. I thank you for holding such a fancy fade contest, TCB!

I like the Stay Home with Your Cat patch on the back pocket! I wore them only on the weekend for the past 18 months but I give 100 out of 100 for my own fades;) Well done, me!

コメント:2020年9月1日から仕事着として穿き始め、週６日の頻度で着用しました。洗濯回数は多めの26回でそのおかげか目立ったダメージはなく綺麗めな色落ちかと思います。やはり、色落ちは外で汗をかくお仕事をされている方々には敵わないなという感想です。今後も引き続き仕事着として着用して育てていきたいと思います。１年6ヶ月間、仕事をしながら楽しませてもらい、ありがとうございました。

I’ve started to wear my S40’s as a work uniform from 1st Sep 2020 and have worn them 6 days a week. I’ve washed them for 26 times and thanks to the many washes I think my jeans have no much damage yet and the fade’s got the beautiful blue but to be honest, I feel that the fades from those who work outside always look more wild and more beautiful for sure. I’ll continue wearing mine as my work uniform.

コメント：2020年11月朔日から2022年の年の変わり目、節分の2月3日まで約14ヶ月着用。
日数にして429日間。穿き込み時間は8922時間で寝ている時も着用しておりました。
洗濯は合計5回です。拙者は兎に角「アタリ」と「メリハリ」重視。
ですが、大戦ジーンズはオーバーサイズで穿きたかったので36インチを選択。
でも、これではアタリは付かないと思い、インナーにもう１枚ジーンズを穿いて育成しました。
なので、フロントは下がりヒゲしか入っていないのに、バックはハチノスがしっかり入っていると云う反比例な色落ちと成っております。

I’ve worn my from 1st Nov 2020 ~ 3rd March, in total 14 months, 429 days, 8922 hours. Sometimes I slept wearing the jeans.I’ve washed them 5 times. I’ve prioritized strong “Atari” and high-contrasted fade this time but I chose 36 because I wanted to wear WW2 model a bit baggy. But it was a bit too big for me to develop strong and deep creases so I decided to wear another pair of jeans inside. So, it’s a little incompatible but the whiskers are going down on the front whereas on the back, the honeycomb fades are super strong!
