児島に移住した時期がほぼ同じでもう古い仲になってしまったWorkers
毎日メッセージを送り合うんですが、内容は大体スーパーカーのリンクを送って来てこれを買いなさい！だの、あまり興味ないアイドルを勧めて来たり私が一番忙しい夕方の時間に瓶ビールの写真を送って来たりというのが通例です。
私が帰宅しこれから食事だって時にベッドで猫と横たわる写真と共に『おやすみなさい』
ってメッセージが届く事も有ります。
この人、ちゃんと仕事してるのかな？って思ってた時期も有ったのですが、商品を見れば一瞬でそんな気持ちは払拭されます。
相変わらずのクオリティとそのクオリティを追い求める為の完璧なスケジュール管理にいつも脱帽です。
（テスト勉強を全然してないよ!って言いながらめちゃくちゃ効率良く勉強してるタイプなんだと気づいた訳です。）
私は夏にならないと夏服を作れない想像力の低さですが、彼は恐らくパリコレに出てるブランドより先に動いてて、次のSSは…って話をしてて来月の話かと思ったら２０２３年の春の事だったみたいなのはよく有ります。
そして、そんなWorkersさんと洋服意外で共通の愛してやまないのがネコです。
TCBはTwo Cat Brandだから2匹のままですが、いつの間にか彼の家には８匹のBIG CATS達と暮らしてるみたいです。
８匹のBIG CATSからインスピレーションを受けたJacketもWorkersから近々発表されると思いますが、TCBではここ２シーズンほどお店で扱いさせて頂いてるBorder Teeにトラネコ別注をさせて頂きました。
ほぼ9割のTシャツがボーダーの私にとってもとても嬉しい出来事です。
デニムジャケットのインナーにももちろん相性が良いのでローテーション入り決定です。
この生地の綿はカリフォルニアのサンフォーキン製なのでとても肌触りが気持ち良くこのTシャツを着て猫を抱くとゴロゴロ鳴きながら頬擦りしてくれるのでは無いでしょうか？

Do you know a great JP work wear repro brand called WORKERS? I’m a good friend with the director/founder of Workers, Mr. Tateno. I was born and raised in Hiroshima but he was from Tokyo but coincidentally we moved to Kojima with the similar passion to make jeans/workwears.
I exchange texts with him and usually he texts me about stupid stuffs like “Hey Hajime, you gotta buy this crazy looking car!” or “I gotta listen to this new Japanese pop icon”, all of which I’m not really interested in. It’s an everyday thing of him but at 4~5PM, he always sends me just a picture of beer without any message. I know that he knows that I can’t really drink…

Sometimes I wonder that this guy really works properly but as soon as I have a look at what he makes, that immediately tells me that I was wrong. He pursues for what he truly wants to make and there’s no compromise about that and he’s really good at planning his work so hats off to Mr. Tateno, really.
(He must have been a type of guy who says “I didn’t really study for the exam” but scores full mark anyways. It might be a Japanese thing but I want to believe this kind of guy exists anywhere in the world, haha)
Speaking of myself, I make summer clothes in July~August but he is already talking about the S/S season for 2024.

You guys might wonder how the hell do these two get along but there is only one thing common between me and him: We love cats. I have two cats but Mr. Tateno now lives with 8 big cats. He was recently saying that he would release a new jacket and the inspiration for the jacket actually came from his 8 big cats. Long story already too long but it’s TCB’s 10th anniversary this year so we are going to do our first collab with Workers.
One of the all time classic item of Workers is their Border T (Stripe T) and I asked him to custom made the color: Tabby’s cat stripe.

I only wear stripe T throughout a year so I will definitely put this into my daily stripe T rotation. The fabric used on this T is from San Joaquin. The texture is very soft and feels crisp but sleek at the same time. Your cats might come to you and let you cuddle him a little longer if you wear this T!
