OLYMPICモデルの巻き縫いはVintageを参考にUNIONSPECIALの35800の9/32インチを使いました。
巻きの高さもこの時代特有の右後ろ高なのでウエスト側から巻く仕様になります。
それとこの年代のカバーオールやオーバーオールでも見かける仕様ですが下糸が生成りです。
これは勝手な想像ですが、恐らく染めてる糸よりも生成りの糸の方が安かった。
だから下糸が表に出てくる事の無い様なチェーンステッチを生成りにしたのかな？
あくまで妄想ですね。

It’s the detail from 20’s or the earlier but the lap seams on the hip starts from the waist of the jeans, which later switches to the opposite side. As a result, the right part of the fabric sits on the left side if you look at jeans from the outside. If you check any of your jeans, you’ ll know what I mean. Usually, the left sits on the right for most of jeans. Speaking of the bobbin threads. ecru can be seen again, which is a common detail from coverall or bib overall of the same era. This is just my guess but undyed threads are always cheaper than dyed threads so they used ecru for the out-of-sight parts of jeans to cut the manufacturing cost…? Olympic Brand was the 3rd line of Levis so our estimation might not be too off the point.
The lap seams are done by Union Special 35800 and the width of lap seams is 9/32 which is exactly the same width as the vintage piece.
