（誌面に掲載されたPleated Blouseを着用）

We have been written up in Hailmary Magazine with a headline saying “Made By TCB JEANS”
*I was wearing the Pleated Blouse appeared in the book.

確かに私は最近社内でスタッフに伝える事が有ります。
『岡山で作ってるから良いんだっていうだけだと、もう意味は無いと思う。』
『どんな人たちが作ったかが重要で、TCBが作ったから穿いてみたい』
そう思って頂ける様になろうって。
何故ならこれから日本の人口は減って行く一方ですよね。

Recently, I’ve been telling the crews that making jeans in Kojima or Okayama doesn’t mean anything nowadays and
that what counts is who make these clothings and we should make so great clothings that people would buy because we’ve made them.

（今調べたら日本の総人口は2021年1月時点で前年から1年間で42万人減ってます。倉敷市の人口が47万人ですから、イメージとしては1年に一つの町が無くなってるのと同じ現象です）
I’ve just googled the population of Japan but as of Jan 2021 420k has decreased since the last year. It’s like a whole city disappearing in a year. So manufacturing industry Of Japan will be diminishing for sure. As I talk about this a lot but since I started my own factory, TCB, I’ve seen so many sewing factories, weaving factories, and dyeing factories closed down.

より日本でモノ作りという名の製造業を続けて行く事は難しくなると思います。
そしてインターネットが普及し20年以上経ち、SNSのお陰で世界中の情報がボーダーレスになりジーンズだけでも沢山の国の方がVintageスタイルのジーンズを作ってる事を知っています。
日本人は何となく生産国だけでモノの良し悪しを決めがちですが、今後は国だけでは判断しにくい時代が始まってると思います。
In addition, internet is already a part of our life style and everyone in the world can have accesses to any information you want and the world has become more and more boarder-less so that there are numerous of denim brands from many countries. I personally think Japanese people tend to judge the quality of clothings by the country of origin but where they are made will be less and less important.

だからこそ私は『岡山デニムです。』『児島で作ってます！』ってだけでアピールするんでは無く、TCBのメンバーやミシンや周りの愉快な仲間たちを紹介する必要が有ると思っています。
That’s why I think headlines like “Made in Okayama” or “jeans made in Kojima” will sound less appealing to people. I’d rather show our customers who makes TCB clothings and our skills and thoughts behind our garments.
