現在生産真っ只中のS40’s
無事にContest仕様の革ラベルも上がってきました。
nayutaさんが手描きで描いてくれた絵を版に起こし作っております。nayutaさんありがとう。
We are right in the production of S40’s Jeans now.
Finally the contest patch arrived at TCB today! Our friend, Nayuta, drew the illustration and based on that we made the printing mold for this special contest patch. Thank you so much again, Nayuta!

素材は鹿革で防縮加工を施してないのでDenimの色落ちと共にバランス良く変化して行くと思います。
It’s made of deer skin and no anti-shrinkage process on the patch so that it will age nicely along with the denim.

それとS４０’s用のリベットも無事に完成しました。
Vintageのリベットを確認した時に磁石が付きましたので鉄のリベットに銅メッキを採用しております。
vintageの写真も少し銅メッキが剥がれてるのが確認出来ます。
In addition, the rivets for S40’s are now ready too. The rivets from the vintage were attracted to a magnet so that we adopted steel made rivets plated by copper. In the picture of the vintage, you can see some copper plating are coming off a bit.

戦時中に銅は貴重になり、鉄でリベットを作ったのは理解出来るのですが。わざわざ銅メッキにしてる所が面白いですね。
私なら鉄の素地で良い？って言いそうな物ですが、生地のオンスを上げてるのと同様に反骨精神も垣間見えます。
During the war era, copper was a valuable material so it’s understandable why the rivets were made of steel back then.I would have said steel, unfinished rivets would be okay but the Levis also used the heavier oz fabric than usual but they did a copper plating & used more durable fabric as their bulldog spirit, who knows…

私が小学生の時に読んでた漫画
銅は高価なんだなって子供ながらに感じてました。
Jp comic I used to read. I remember that I got the impression that copper was expensive.

20’sや50’sで採用してるリベットは無垢の銅リベットと今回の鉄の銅メッキのリベットとどう経年変化がどう違うのか

銅違うのかが楽しみです。
the rivets used on 20’s or 50’s are made of 100% copper but I’m interested to see how the steel one will age and look.
