1920年代になってDENIM Jacketに追加されたフラップ。
ポケットにフタが必要になったのは何かを落とさないようにする為。
『きっとタバコだったんだろうね』
って言いながら撮影してみたら妙にしっくり。
現代の目で見ると当時の2本針ミシンの強引なフラップやポケットの運針がとても魅力です。
この度、20’s Jacketの生産の目処が付きましたので予約開始とさせて頂きます。

The pocket flap started to be attaached to denim jackets since 1920.
Maybe, a lid was needed not to drop a stuff from the pocket. Maybe one of them should have been cigarettes.

The sewing on the flap looks a bit wonky but that’s the good part on this jacket.
Thanks to the vintage jeans collector, Mr. Koizumi-san, we could make these jackets.
Square collar, small buttons, the rounded corner of the flap, and all these are the good iconic details.

You might find the fabric a bit thin but the denim has the true vintage feel.
