3月の終わりにMOTOさんのアトリエにお邪魔した時に『久しぶりに自分の彫金の原点のモノづくりをする』と聞いて個人的に楽しみにしてたのがGWに発表された

イベントの千秋楽が岡山店だったので私も
『MOTOさん来てるし軽く挨拶』
って言いながらOPEN前に到着するという用意周到ぶりでした。
目の前でお客さんのジュエリーを調整したり仕上げたりされてて
やっぱり好きな物を買い物するって少年に戻れるな！って純粋に思った瞬間でした。
当日はMOTOR×TCBのサスペンダーにVintageのLEVISを合わされてたのですが、仕様はピスネーム有るしコンシールリベット付いてるし37っぽいのにサスペンダーボタンが有るという不思議なモデルを着用されてました。
確かにバックヨークを高く巻き縫いをされてるのも少しイレギュラーに感じます。
『恐らく1936かな？』
って言いながら彫金で36のLEVISを粉まみれに作業されてるMOTOさんに私は惚れ直した素敵な日でした。

※MOTO×TCBのサスペンダーを既に持たれてる方はご存知だと思いますが、右側のボタンホールの下に切れ目が入ってます。
この切れ目はウォレットチェーンやキーホルダーのフックを通せる様になってます。

When I visited Moto-san’s atelier at the end of March, he told me that he would go back to his origin and would do some metal carving collection quite a long time after the last one, which I was secretly looking forward to, and it was finally released a week ago.

Moto-san was holding an event at his Okayama shop so I payed a visit to the show to say hi to him but actually I was as excited as the other fans waiting in front of the shop even before the opening hours and was in the line as well as others. Moto-san himself was doing the final finish and some adjustment for each customer, which made me think again that this kind of great shopping experience makes you feel so special.

Moto-san was wearing vintage Levis jeans that day but his pair has the red tab with the concealed rivets so it looked 37 model but it’s with the suspender buttons. The back yoke was a bit high for the jeans of this era so that was a bit unusual too. He was saying ” maybe this is a pair from 1936.” Great artists know what they are talking about!

If you have our Moto/TCB suspenders, you might have noticed this but the suspenders have a little hole bellow the right button hole but that’s for a wallet chain or some key rings. We still have some stocks left too!
