もちろん以前からVintageの存在を知ってたBrown ヒッコリー
いつかは作ってみたいと思ってたんだけど、シュミレーションをすると面白いハードルが立ちはだかっていました。。
DENIMでいえば希望の色を決めたらその色に糸を染めるのに最低⚪︎⚪︎⚪︎⚪︎m分というのが有ります。
ただ、ストライプの場合はブラウンとネイビーを２色共別注しなければいけないので単純にいえば単色の生地を作るより倍のリスクが必要になります。
何年か前にシュミレーションしてみた結果、『今回は止めておこう』と断念しかけたんですが、よくよく考えたらこの色の配色は
我が家のトラちゃんカラーじゃないかと最近思い始めました。
この発想は猫好き友達のWorkersの別注ではボーダーTや後付けパーカーでは作らせて頂き大好評で自分自身も気に入っているので一気にブラウンヒッコリーの別注を発注する勇気が湧きました。
実際に１着作ってトラちゃんにチェックをして貰いました。
色目もバッチリで抱き上げるとシミラールックの出来上がりです笑

I’ve known this awesome brown hickory fabric for a long time and I’ve wanted to make something with this fabric for a long time but there’s been a hurdle for that.
When it comes to making a custom-made fabric, there’s of course some minimum order quantity. In case of denim, you need one indigo thread + ecru undyed thread but for this hickory you need both brown and navy dyed threads so that simply speaking the MOQ is twice more. A few years ago, I tried to calculate how many jackets we needed to make if we went for this brown hickory fabric and I had to give up on it but I’ve really wanted to. The more I continue the TCB brand, the more I feel TCB should be a brand that makes what we wanna make and finally I’m determined to release this brown hickory chore coat bearing some risk of too many stocks, haha.
