聞けばOregon州のPortlandから遊びに来たみたいで息子の一人はDehenで裁断士をしてるとの事でした。
Dehenは私も１着バーシティジャケットを持ってるので話が盛り上がりました。
ジーンズ工場と違い、ニットやレザーやメルトンの様々な素材を裁断する難しさを聞けました。
先週は私もDehenとHoodな関係のWescoを着用してましたが、Made in USAという表記が幻になりつつ有ります。
そんな中ではDehen, Wesco, langlitz leathersにはオレゴンでミシンの音を奏で続けて欲しいと思うばかりです。
そして良くも悪くもアメリカの背中を追いかける日本の製造業
Made in japanのタグはいつまで残る事が出来るのでしょうか？
一度ポートランドを訪れてヒントを貰いに行きたいと思いました。（ACE HOTELに泊まりたいだけなのは内緒）

Cool family wearing NIKE came all the way from Portland.

One of them told me that he cuts fabric at Dehen.
I have a varsity jacket from the brand and was quite happy to see the guy who actually makes it.
I’m not too familiar with cutting non-denim fabrics like leather, melton, etc so his story was very interesting to me.
These days, there are less and less made-in-USA clothings but I love the Oregon brands like Wesco, Langlitz Leathers, and Dehen so I really hope they continue making their clothes with USA pride! The same thing applies to Japan-made and I wonder how long Japan continues making our high quality goods.
Maybe I gotta go to Portland to find some hints. (It’s not that I just want to stay at Ace Hotel, lol.
