先日は、Late S40’s Jeansの補充をご案内させて頂きましたが、
続いて、待望のLate S40’s Jacketの補充が完成しました。
ジーンズの際にも書きましたが、
戦時下において、
「ムラ糸は、もっとムラ糸だったのでは？」
そんな仮説から、この生地作りはスタートしています。
通常、例えば7番手の糸であれば、
その番手の範囲の中でムラを作ります。
ですが今回は、7.5番手と6.5番手の糸をあえてミックス。
理屈の話にはなりますが、
結果としてムラの振れ幅が大きくなり、
色落ちした際の表情はより豊かになります。
実際に穿き込むと、
太い6.5番手の部分が先に擦れて色が落ち、
独特なコントラストが浮かび上がってきます。
ぜひ実際に着用して頂き、
経糸に2番手を使用したギミックも含めて、
その変化を体感して頂けたら嬉しいです。
ただ、どうしても大戦モデルを2種類展開していると、
「この2つの違いは？」というご質問を多く頂きます。
「着て感じて下さい！」
そんな気持ちも正直ありますが、
それだけでは少し入口として不親切かもしれません。
という事で、
近日中に2つの違いをしっかり比較したBlogも作ってみようと思います。
そして現在、
東京・新宿高島屋にてPOP UPを開催中です。
もちろん大戦モデルも店頭に並んでいますので、

The other day, we announced the restock of the Late S40’s Jeans.
And now, the long-awaited Late S40’s Jacket is finally back in stock.
As mentioned with the jeans,
this fabric development started from a simple question:
“During the wartime era… weren’t slub yarns even more irregular than we imagine?”
Normally, when working with, for example, a size 7 yarn,
the slub is created within that range.
But this time, we intentionally mixed two different yarn counts—7.5 and 6.5.
From a technical standpoint,
this creates a wider amplitude of irregularity,
resulting in a richer expression as the denim fades.
With wear,
the thicker 6.5 yarn areas tend to abrade first,
bringing out a unique and striking contrast.
We hope you’ll wear it in,
and truly feel not only this fading behavior,
but also the subtle gimmick of using size 2 warp yarns.
That said,
since we now have two different wartime models,
we’ve been getting a lot of questions about the differences between them.
Of course, part of us wants to say,
“Just wear them and feel it.”
But we also understand that might not be the most welcoming approach.
So, we’re planning to put together a proper comparison blog soon.
And currently,
we are holding a POP-UP at Shinjuku Takashimaya in Tokyo.
