Late S40’sのRestockが完了しました。
大戦モデルは、10着集めると10通りの顔がある。
そんな仮説のもと、Gジャンは通称『ダウンパッチ』モデルとして作らせてもらったのが
Late S40’s Jacket です。
生地も、頭の中に刷り込まれている
「固くて黒い」というイメージを少し覆す、
若干青みの強い表情。
今なら上下ともにサイズが揃っていますので、
セットアップで穿き込みをスタートして頂くことも可能です。
そういえばパンツの方ですが、
Late S40’sのネルポケットのチェックも別注で作りました。
大戦期以前に作られていたチェック柄だろう、という想定で、
着用していくと色が抜けていく仕様になっています。
Late S40’sのネルポケットの色目も、
どこかのタイミングで追いかけてみたいなと思っています。
The restock of the Late S40’s has been completed.
There’s a theory about WWII-era denim jackets:
if you gather ten of them, you’ll find ten different faces.
Based on that idea, the G-Jacket version was created as what we call the “Down Patch” model, known as the Late S40’s Jacket.
The fabric also slightly challenges the image many people have in their minds—
that wartime denim was always stiff and almost black.
Instead, this one has a slightly stronger blue tone.
Right now we have both jackets and jeans fully stocked,
so it’s actually a good time to start wearing them as a full set-up and break them in together.
Speaking of the jeans,
we also made the flannel pocket lining as a custom fabric.
The check pattern was designed with the idea that it could have existed before the wartime period,
and it’s made in a way that the colors gradually fade as you continue wearing them.
At some point, I’d also like to follow the aging of the Late S40’s flannel pocket color as well.
