Workersに別注した、
去年の秋冬では一瞬で完売した
CAT’S COLLEGE ATOZUKE PARKA。
あの可愛いデザインを、
今年の春夏は Football Tee にして
もう一度作ってもらいました。
Workersの舘野さんとは、
毎回「こんなの作れないですかね？」
みたいな雑談から始まることが多いんですが、
このCAT’S COLLEGEもそんな流れの中で生まれた服です。
春夏なので、
少しだけ草スポーツ感を出したくて
色は淡いグリーンとブラックのコンビ。
最後まで悩んだのは、
このグリーンの色味でした。
あまり鮮やかすぎても違うし、
ミリタリーっぽくなりすぎても違う。
最終的にイメージしたのは
猫草。
春になると
猫が喜んでかじる、あの草の色。
そんな少し柔らかいグリーンを
ボディカラーとして作りました。
もちろん
Workersのインラインには無い
TCBだけの別注カラーです。
そしてもう一つのポイントが
この七分袖のFootball Tee。
Gジャンの袖をまくる季節になると、
こういうバランスのTシャツが
なんだか新鮮に見えます。
春のTCBに
猫草みたいな一枚を。
Last fall and winter,
we made a special order with Workers for the
CAT’S COLLEGE ATOZUKE PARKA,
and it sold out almost instantly.
Because the design was so well received,
we decided to bring it back for this spring and summer—
this time as a Football Tee.
With Tateno-san from Workers,
many of our projects start with a simple conversation like,
“Do you think we could make something like this?”
This CAT’S COLLEGE piece was born from
one of those casual talks.
Since it’s for the spring and summer season,
we wanted to give it a bit of a “grass-sports” feeling,
so we chose a combination of soft green and black.
The part we struggled with the most
was the shade of green.
If it was too bright, it felt wrong.
If it leaned too much toward military green,
that also didn’t feel right.
The image that finally helped us decide was
cat grass.
You know that soft green grass
that cats love to nibble on in the spring.
We tried to recreate that gentle tone
as the body color.
Of course, this color is not part of
Workers’ inline collection—
it’s a TCB exclusive color.
Another point we like about this piece
is the three-quarter sleeve Football Tee design.
When the weather gets warm enough
to start rolling up the sleeves of your denim jacket,
a T-shirt like this suddenly feels fresh.
For spring at TCB,
a piece that feels a little like cat grass.
