1年前のある日、
「ベストを着る時に、ふとフードを合わせたいな」と思いました。
バッグを持たずに、
ポケットに全部詰め込んで、
そのまま、どこかへ行ける服。
アメリカの“お洒落な服”というより、
アメリカの、
ファッションに無頓着な人が、
適当に重ねて着ているだけなのに、
私たちからすると、妙にかっこよく見えてしまう、
あの感じ。
最近、男子トークで、
こんな話で盛り上がりました。
知らない女性が、
デニムのセットアップや、
ダブルのライダース、
ワークウェア、
ミリタリー。
そんな服をさらっと着て、
颯爽と現れたら、
めちゃくちゃ目を引く。
でも、冷静に考えると、
その後ろに、
なんとなく“男の影”を想像してしまって、
少しだけ、落ち込んでしまう。
それが、男です。
でも、
それでも、
女性にも着てほしい。

One day, about a year ago,
I suddenly thought,
“I want to wear a hood with my vest.”

And somehow, to us,
that feels strangely cool.
Recently, we were talking about this with the guys.
When an unknown woman walks in,
wearing a denim setup,
a double riders jacket,
workwear,
or military pieces —
just casually, effortlessly —
it instantly catches your eye.
But then, if you stop and think about it,
you can’t help but imagine
some kind of “man’s shadow” behind her…
and you get just a little bit quiet.
That’s what it means to be a man.
And yet —
even so —
we still want women to wear it.
