まずは、2025年もありがとうございました。
別に Fat Cats Records を
2025年最後のプロジェクトとして狙っていたわけではないのですが、
結果的に、今年のラストの発表となりましたので、
今日は着用写真を使ってブログを書かせていただきます。
実は、40歳を過ぎた頃から、
「TCBの井上として、どんなハッピーエンドを描きたいか」
そんなことを考える時期がありました。
縫製工場という町工場の世界を見渡すと、
社長が亡くなるか、会社が倒れる時が“最終回”になる。
そんなケースも多いのかもしれない、と感じたんです。
その時、
スタート時の事業計画以上に、
「どう終わるか」を考えることの方が、
実は大切なんじゃないかとも思いました。
大好きなビートルズの活動期間は約10年。
CAROLは、もっと短い。
「終わりを意識しながら走る」
そんなふうに思っていた時期もありました。
でも結果的に、
今日も無事に2025年の仕事納めを迎え、
来年に向けて、
『さて、次は何をしてやろうか』
なんて企んでいる自分がいます。
今年のラストに完成した Fat Cats Records は、
私が5年間穿き込んだ S40’s のセットアップを“recording”し、
すべてのサイズで穿いていただけるように作ったプロジェクトです。
来年も、さまざまな“Record”を重ねながら、
もう少し、ジーンズと遊んでいけたらと思います。
2026年も、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
First of all, thank you very much for another wonderful year in 2025.
We did not originally plan for Fat Cats Records to become our final project of the year,
but it naturally turned out to be our last release of 2025.
So today, I would like to share a blog post using photos of the piece being worn.
After turning forty, there was a time when I began to think about
what kind of “happy ending” I would want to draw as Inoue of TCB.
Looking around the world of sewing factories — the small-town workshops —
it sometimes feels as though the “final chapter” comes either when the owner passes away
or when the company closes down.
That realization made me feel that perhaps how you end a story
is even more important than the business plan you start with.
The Beatles were active for only about ten years.
CAROL for even less.
There was a time when I ran forward while consciously thinking about “the ending.”
And yet, here I am today, safely completing our final workday of 2025,
already looking ahead to next year and thinking,
“Alright… what should I do next?”
Fat Cats Records, completed as our final project of the year,
is a project in which we “recorded” the S40’s setup I personally wore for five years,
and recreated it so that it can be worn in every size.
Next year as well, I hope to continue adding new “records,”
and enjoy playing with jeans just a little more.
