25年ジーンズを作り続けていますが、未だに良い色落ちを見るとワクワクしてしまいます。
今日は、そんな私が思わず見入ってしまった、50’sモデルの色落ち写真をご紹介。

ついつい職業病というか、半年〜1年ほど穿いたあたりで
「このジーンズは色落ちサンプルに使おう」とか
「次の生地開発のために、違うサンプルを育てなきゃ」と、別のジーンズに穿き替えてしまいがちなんですが――

こういうジーンズに出会うと、ちょっとボロくなるくらいまで穿き込みたくなるんです。
やっぱり、ジーンズは育ててこそ。そう感じさせてくれる一本でした。
I’ve been making jeans for 25 years now, but I still get excited every time I see a beautifully faded pair.
Today, I want to share with you some photos of a 50’s model that really caught my eye.

Maybe it’s just an occupational hazard, but after wearing a pair for six months to a year,
I often find myself thinking, “This could be a great fading sample,” or
“I should start wearing a different pair to develop the next fabric.”
So I end up switching jeans before fully wearing them in.

But when I come across jeans like this, I get the urge to keep wearing them until they’re just a little worn-out and rough around the edges.
After all, jeans are meant to be lived in—and this pair reminded me of that.
