TCBの定番品であるSeamen’s。
夏に向けて、再生産の予定が決まりました。
納期は6月末〜7月末と少し先の予定にはなりますが、夏用のデニムを探されていたという方にはお勧めできるモデルです。

納期がかかってしまうのには、いくつか理由もあります。
一つは、1900年代初頭のSinger 99というミシンで帯部の菊穴仕様であることです（アイレットとも呼ばれる小さな縫い穴）。　このミシンは、日本でもごく少数しか無く、児島では”ミシンの神様”と呼ばれる方がメンテナンスをしつつ、何とか稼働させている状況です。外での工程があるので、どうしても納期が掛かってしまいます。

また、2本針ミシンでの作業が多く、TCBの生産背景では少しずつしか縫製作業が進められないということもありますが、何気ない”TCB”というステンシルも全て手作業で行っていますので、それもかなり時間がかかる作業です。縫製が出来た後でも、手作業では6本/1時間くらいの時間がかかります。手刺繍、手縫製、ハンドステンシルと、何事も手作業では時間を喰いますが、ビンテージへのリスペクトという意味合いでも、Seamensはこの菊穴とハンドステンシルを含め、こだわって作られています。

パンツもジャケットも非常にシンプルには見えますが、手間暇がかかるTCBの定番品：Seamen’s　是非この機会にご検討ください。

Seamen’s Jumper/Trousers are one of TCB’s flagship model and we have finally fixed the next production plan. The delivery due will be between the end of June ~the end of July but we can recommend these for your new summer denim.

There are several reasons why it takes time to produce Seamen’s.
One reason is that they have the eyelets sewn by Singer 99 from the early 1900. Even in Japan, there are only few machines that can still work and in Kojima the guy called “the God of sewing machines” has mentenanced the only machine for some decades and that’s the only machine here. So, we have to outsource the eyelets and that’s one reason.

Also, the manufacturing processes includes many works of 2-needles machines, of which we have a single machine but hand stencil is another big reason, which takes about 6 pairs/hour.

Both the pants and the jackets look pretty simple but it takes more time to sew jeans or denim jackets. We have been producing these for more than 8 years and there are many reasons behind it why our customers have liked them!
