毎年、季節を無視して服を作っているTCBにとって、
「あ、今は26SSなんだな」と春一番を知らせてくれるのがWorkersのデリバリー。
2月に綺麗に立ち上がるコレクションは、
素晴らしいを通り越して——
正直に言えば「まだ寒い」の一言。
それでも、毎年楽しみにしているのがボーダーTです。
今年の色目は、有りそうでなかった配色。
ホワイト×ネイビーにレッドのネック。
レッド×ネイビーにはホワイト。
ネオンブルー×ネイビーは、ネオンが静かに主張する。
デニムのセットアップを着込んでいると、
よくこんな質問をいただきます。
「上下の色落ちのスピードの違い、どうしてますか？」
どれだけ気をつけても、特に日本ではパンツの方が先に落ちる。
そんな時、私がいつもお伝えしているのは
今日入荷したみたいなボーダーTを挟むこと。
間に一本、線を入れるだけで、
上下のデニムの色のズレが不思議と整う。
外側が毎日変わらないからこそ、
内側で遊ぶ。
デニムスーツを楽しんでいる方にこそ、
ボーダーTのローテーションを作ってみてほしい。

so beautifully, in fact, that it almost feels overwhelming.
And to be honest, my first reaction is always:
“It’s still cold.”
Still, the piece I look forward to every year is the striped T-shirt.
This year’s colors feel familiar, yet somehow new.
White × Navy with a red neck binder.
Red × Navy with white at the neck.
Neon Blue × Navy, where the neon quietly makes its presence known.
When wearing a denim set-up,
I’m often asked:
“How do you deal with the different fading speeds between the jacket and the pants?”
No matter how careful you are — especially in Japan —
the pants will fade first.
So what I usually suggest is simple:
insert a striped T-shirt like the one that just arrived today.
Just adding a single line between the two pieces
somehow balances out the subtle difference in denim tones.
Because the outside doesn’t change much from day to day,
you can play on the inside.
