作る頻度はジーンズほどではありませんが、 作れば毎回必ず完売する Baker PT に新色を追加しました。

色はチャコール。

写真では Stay Gold チノの Gley と近く見えるかもしれませんが、 バックサテン特有の横に走る生地の表情が特徴で、 穿き込んだ後の経年変化も楽しみな一本です。

最近はカバーオールやペインターパンツでも同じようなトーンを採用していますが、 ミリタリーアイテムでもこうした色を作ることで、 無骨さの中にほんの少しの上品さを宿らせたい、という想いがあります。

きっと個人的に、そういう気分なんだと思います。

Although we don’t make these as often as our jeans, we’ve added a new color to our Baker PT — a style that sells out every time we produce it.
The color is charcoal.
In photos, it may look close to the “Gley” of our Stay Gold Chino, but this fabric features the distinctive horizontal texture unique to back satin, and it’s a pair you can really look forward to breaking in and watching age over time.
Recently, we’ve been using similar tones for coveralls and painter pants as well, but with this military item, our intention was to bring just a touch of refinement into its rugged character by choosing a color like this.
I suppose it simply reflects how I’ve been feeling lately.
