この度、ご縁があって、少量ではありますが TCB SHOP 限定で Vintage の Barbour を販売させていただくことになりました。
正直、私・井上自身はこれまで Barbour を所有した経験はありません。
ただ、デニムのセットアップの上に羽織る姿がやけにカッコいい——
そんな素朴な憧れが、この企画のきっかけでした。
社内で相談してみると、ヨーロッパ暮らしが長かった Ryo 君は生粋のロンドン好き。
しかも日本に帰ってきて 7 年？ いまだに傘を持っておらず、雨の朝はびしょ濡れで登場します。
彼にとっては、Barbour は本来の使い方？——レインコートとしても“正しい存在”のようです。
そして、「どうせ話を振ったら一家言あるだろうな」と思っていた キュン君。
案の定、翌日には 私物の Barbour を着て店に現れるというテンションの上がりっぷり。
その姿を見て、「これは店頭でもきっと喜んでもらえる」と確信しました。
期間限定にはなりますが、ぜひ 実物の Vintage Barbour を袖に通しに来ていただけたら嬉しく思います。

普段は夜にしかお会いする機会がなく、知っている姿といえばいつも“泥酔状態”…。
そんな先輩が、今回初めてシラフの状態で Barbour のコレクションを見せてくださり、それがまた実に面白かったのは——ここだけの話です。

We’ve been given a wonderful opportunity, and although only in a small quantity,
we will now be offering vintage Barbour jackets exclusively at the TCB SHOP.
To be honest, I, Inoue, have never owned a Barbour myself.
But seeing one thrown casually over a denim set-up always looked incredibly cool to me—
and that simple admiration is what sparked this project.
When I brought the idea to the team, Ryo—who spent years living in Europe and is a true British enthusiast—was immediately excited.
He’s been back in Japan for seven years now, yet he still doesn’t own an umbrella.
So on rainy mornings, he shows up to work completely soaked.
For him, Barbour might actually serve its original purpose: a proper raincoat.
And then there’s Kyun, who I knew would definitely have an opinion the moment I mentioned Barbour.
Sure enough, the next day he showed up wearing his own Barbour, buzzing with excitement.
Seeing that, I felt certain: “Our customers at the shop are going to love this.”
It will only be available for a limited time,
but I truly hope you’ll come by and try on the vintage Barbour jackets in person.
※ This project came to life thanks to a senior colleague in the Kojima industry who reached out to me.
I usually only see him at night—and always in a rather heavily intoxicated state…
This time, however, he showed me his Barbour collection completely sober for the first time,
and it turned out to be unexpectedly fascinating.
(But let’s keep that part between us.)
