TCBjeansを始めて10年の節目のとき、
「みんなでお揃いで着られる何かが欲しいよね」
そんな会話から生まれたのが、TCB Black Cat Crew Suits でした。
きっかけは若手スタッフの
「ツナギにしましょう！」
という、軽やかなノリ。
でも、それがTCBらしくてすごくよかった。

そして来年1月、TCBは丸18年を迎えます。

ここ数年は、TCBの年数を“年齢”に見立てて抱負を書いてきました。

16歳のときは、伊代ちゃんの名曲をオマージュして
「TCBはまだ16だから、センチメンタルジャーニー」
と記しました。

自分の16歳を振り返ると、
大人だと勘違いしていて、
無敵だと勘違いしていて、
この時間が永遠に続くと思い込んでいた頃。
でも間違いなく人生で一番楽しく、今の自分を作ってくれた大切な年代でした。

だからTCBとして迎えた“2回目の16歳”も、
色んな勘違いをポジティブな力に変えて楽しんでいこう、
そう思いながら書いた文章でした。
関わってくださるすべての皆さんに、改めて感謝をこめて。

17歳では、”Seventeen’s Map” をオマージュに。

創業から17年。
TCBは、私と専務だけではなく、
“みんなの力で成り立っている”と実感することが本当に増えました。
だからこそ、今年はスタッフ全員の写真を使うことにしました。

素敵なメンバーとともに“17歳の地図”を広げながら、
半分だけ大人でいたい気持ちで、
どんな高い壁も片手でピョン！と飛び越えていくつもりで。

こちらも、関わってくれるすべての皆さんにありがとうと記しました。

そしてまだ少し先ですが、来年TCBは 18歳 になります。
いまの日本では18歳は“成人”。
子どもっぽさも大人っぽさも、どちらの武器も同時に使える、
いちばん旬な瞬間を迎えようとしています。

創業期は、私と専務のために作っていた服が、
いまでは世界中のみんなのための服になった。
その象徴として——
TCB Black Cat Crew Suits、いよいよ発売です。

このツナギが、世界中を“Coverall”してくれたら嬉しいです。
When we celebrated the 10th anniversary of TCB jeans as a brand in 2022, our crews told me “We want something we can all wear together.”
From that conversation, the TCB Black Cat Crew Suits were born.
It all started with a young staff member casually saying, “Let’s make a jumpsuit!”
But it was a very TCB-like idea, and I’m really happy with it.

And next January, TCB as a factory will be celebrating its 18th anniversary in 2026.
For the past few years, I’ve written down my thoughts, treating the age of TCB as my age, recalling my own memory.

Looking back at my 16th year,
I believed I was already an adult,
I purely thought I was invincible, and I thought things would remain the same and would last forever.
But it was undoubtedly the most fun year of my life, and an important year that shaped me into the person I am today.
Now that I know those thoughts and beliefs back then were a huge misunderstanding coming from youthful indiscretion
So, as TCB turns 16th for the second time, I wrote this message: we should turn our various misunderstandings into positive energy and have fun.
I would like to express my gratitude once again to everyone involved in the denim industry and the customers who have supported TCB.

Next year, I came to realize more and more that TCB is made possible by everyone’s efforts, not just myself and the founding members of TCB.
That’s why I decided to use a photo of all the TCB staff. As we unfold our map of 17th together with our wonderful members, hoping to keep the love for what we do with a playful mind like a kid, we can just move on and jump over any high wall with one hand. I wrote this message to express my gratitude to our staff.

And, although it’s still a little while away, TCB will turn 18 years old in 2026.
In Japan today, 18 marks the age of adulthood. We’re approaching the most exciting moment in our history when we can act responsible and powerful like an adult while having bottomless energy like a kid.
When we first started, the clothes we made for myself and the production manager, Taka, have now become clothes for everyone around the world.

As a symbol of that, TCB Black Cat Crew Suits are finally on sale. I would be delighted if these coveralls could cover the world.
