絶対的に、世の中では右が人気。
でも時々、どうしても作りたくなってしまうのが左。
そう、生地の話。
去年は OASIS の再結成なんかもあって、 Liveに実際に行けたスタッフは
「会場に一万人はadidas着てる中、俺はWorking Cat Heroで挑みました！」
なんていう始末（笑）。
去年、5年ぶりだったかな。
WCHを復活させたきっかけは本当にシンプルで、 左綾の色落ちがただ純粋にカッコよかったから。
Vintage市場でも三大ブランドの一つとして語られる存在。
それでもやっぱり、自分は少し天邪鬼で、少しマイノリティ側に惹かれてしまう。
王者には王者の完成された美しさがある。
だからこそ、同じ場所で同じ戦い方をしても意味がない。
少し癖を足して、 少しセクシーにして、 少しだけ機能美を加える。
後になって知ったけど、 それってきっとランチェスター戦略に近かったのかもしれない。
強い相手と同じ土俵で戦わない。 角度を少し変える。
でも当時の自分には、そんな言葉よりも、 ただ「自分たちらしく作るにはどうすればいいか」だけだった気がする。
先人の知恵や力を借りて服を作らせてもらっているTCBだからこそ、 真正面から王者を目指すのではなく、 少しだけ横から入っていく。
左綾には、そんな戦い方がよく似合う。
右が正解だとしたら、 左は、少しだけ物語がある。

Right-hand twill has always been the absolute favorite in the world.
But every now and then, I find myself wanting to make the left.
Yes — this is a story about fabric.
Last year, with OASIS reuniting, one of our staff members who actually went to the live said:
“Out of ten thousand people wearing adidas, I went in wearing a Working Cat Hero!”
That’s just how it goes (laugh).
Was it five years since the last time?
The reason we brought WCH back was actually very simple.
The fades of left-hand twill just looked undeniably cool.
It’s often spoken of as one of the big three in the vintage world.
And yet, I guess I’ve always been a little contrarian — drawn slightly toward the minority side.
The king has its own completed beauty.
That’s exactly why fighting in the same place, in the same way, makes little sense.
Add a little character.
Make it slightly more sexy.
And bring in just a touch of functional beauty.
Only later did I realize —
it might have been close to what people call the Lanchester Strategy.
You don’t fight the stronger opponent on the same ground.
You change the angle, just a little.
But back then, words like that didn’t matter to me.
All I was thinking about was how to make something that truly felt like us.
TCB only exists by borrowing the wisdom and strength of those who came before us.
And because of that, rather than aiming straight at the king,
we choose to come in slightly from the side.
Left-hand twill feels perfectly suited to that kind of way of fighting.
If the right is considered the answer,
the left carries just a little more story.
