今日の写真は、専務とその息子です。
2〜3年前、彼が留学中にフランス人の友人から
「岡山に行くならTCBに行ってみたいんだ」
と言われたそうで、
「俺の親父がそこで働いてるよ！」
と連れてきてくれたのが最初の来社でした。
今回は専務と一緒に食事していた時、
「息子が韓国のアイドルにハマってて…」
という話になり、
「じゃあこの人知ってる？」
と伝えたところ、 テンションが上がって、 そのアイドルが着ていたジャケットを“パパに買ってもらう”ために TCBへ遊びに来てくれました。
彼にとって、これらの出来事が誇らしかったのかどうかまでは分かりませんが、 TCB創業期には、専務に子の寝顔しか見せられなかった時期もありました。
だからこそ、こうして時々顔を見せてくれることが 何より嬉しく感じます。
Today’s photo features our managing director and his son.
About two or three years ago, while he was studying abroad, one of his French friends said,
“If I ever go to Okayama, I’d love to visit TCB.”
He proudly replied,
“My dad works there!”
and brought his friend to visit us for the first time.
This time, while having dinner with the managing director, he mentioned,
“My son’s really into Korean idols these days…”
So I said, “Then, does he know this one?”
He got really excited, and soon after, he came by TCB to have his dad buy him the same jacket his favorite idol was wearing.
I’m not sure if these experiences made him feel proud of his father,
but back in TCB’s early days, there were times when the managing director could only see his child’s sleeping face.
That’s why it makes me truly happy to see him stop by the factory from time to time.
