ビートルズやローリング・ストーンズ、デヴィッド・ボウイの伝記、そしてデニムの歴史をまとめた著者・Paul Trynka さんから、
TCB S40’s の素敵な色落ち写真が届いたのでご紹介します。
毎回とにかくカッコいい色落ちなので、「どんなふうに穿いているの？」と聞いてみたところ、
「普通に穿いてるだけだよ」とのこと。
ただ、唯一のヒントといえば——
“I am wearing my TCB sitting on an Eames sofa!”
という一言。
イームズソファの座り角度が独特のヒゲを刻むのか、
それとも “お気に入りのものと音楽に囲まれて過ごす” というメッセージなのか。
写真の1〜3枚目は S40’s、4枚目が 50’s、5枚目が 20’s。
どれも安定のカッコよさで、同じようなヒゲの入り方なのは、
やはりイームズソファ・マジックなのでしょうか？
ちなみに我が家にもイームズのラウンジチェアがありますが、
すっかり “インテリア化”… というか “帰宅後のバッグ置き場” に（笑）。
良い色落ちのために、今夜からちゃんと座ってみようと思います。

Paul Trynka — the author behind the biographies of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie, as well as books on the history of denim — sent us some amazing photos of his beautifully faded TCB S40’s.
Every time, his fades look incredibly cool, so I asked him,
“How do you wear them?”
He simply replied,
“I’m just wearing them normally.”
But the only real hint he gave was this one line:
“I am wearing my TCB sitting on an Eames sofa!”
Maybe it’s the unique angle of the Eames sofa that creates those distinctive whiskers,
or perhaps it’s his message to “surround yourself with things and music you love.”
Photos 1–3 are S40’s, photo 4 is 50’s, and photo 5 is 20’s.
Each pair has that consistently beautiful fade — maybe it really is the Eames sofa magic.
By the way, I also have an Eames Lounge Chair at home,
but it’s become more of an interior piece… or rather, a bag stand I use when I get home (laughs).
For the sake of a better fade, I think I’ll actually start sitting on it tonight.
