この度、vintageコレクター脇谷さんの、世界一と言っても良いコレクションとその膨大な知識をお借りし、一緒に“Clone Denim”を製作させていただきました。
お披露目は 2026年2月18日(水) ～ 2月24日(火)
伊勢丹新宿店。
Mushroom VintageさんのPOP UPと同期間で開催される、脇谷さんのVintage個展会場にて発表させていただきます。
今回のベースとなったのは、脇谷さん所有のデッドストック大戦モデル。
その実物をもとに、岡本テキスタイルで生地を再構築し、TCBで縫製したクローンデニムです。
このプロジェクトに向けてのやり取りは、実は3〜4年に及びました。
ようやく皆様にお見せできるところまで辿り着き、まずは一安心しています。
ただ、これは終わりではありません。 始まりの始まりです。
そして彼は、 青い空と青いデニム。 その二つに魅了された男。
実は国際線で世界を飛び回るパイロットでもあります。
男なら一度は憧れる職業。
子供の頃に初めて飛行機を見上げた時。
初めて機内に乗り込んだ時。
雲の上の景色を目にした時。
あの感動。
机上の空論ではなく、 本当に空を飛ぶ人と共に作ったデニム。
Vintageという実物を元にした、現実の物語。
ジーンズの中にある“雲の上の景色”を、 世界中の人に見ていただきたいと思っています。

Many of you may have seen this project mentioned in Tsuru’s recent videos.
We are proud to announce that, together with vintage collector Mr. Wakitani — whose collection could truly be called one of the finest in the world — we have created a special “Clone Denim,” drawing from his extraordinary archive and deep knowledge.
The unveiling will take place:
February 18 (Wed) – February 24 (Tue), 2026
at Isetan Shinjuku, Tokyo.
It will be presented alongside Mushroom Vintage’s pop-up event, during the same period as Mr. Wakitani’s vintage exhibition.
The foundation of this project is a deadstock WWII model owned by Mr. Wakitani.
Using the original garment as our reference, the fabric was reconstructed by Okamoto Textile, and the jeans were sewn by TCB to create this Clone Denim.
The conversations leading to this project have actually continued for three to four years.
We are relieved — and grateful — to finally be able to present it to you.
However, this is not the end.
It is only the beginning of a new beginning.
And he is a man captivated by two shades of blue —
the blue sky and blue denim.
In fact, he is an international airline pilot, flying across the world.
A profession many boys once dreamed of.
The first time you look up at an airplane.
The first time you step inside a cabin.
The first time you see the world above the clouds.
That feeling.
This is not a theory imagined at a desk.
It is denim created together with someone who truly flies the skies.
A real story, built upon a real vintage garment.
We hope to share with the world
the “view above the clouds” that exists within a pair of jeans.
