前回大好評だった Green と Brown のチノ。 チノと言っても、生地はアメリカのリアルな労働着。
トラックドライバーや倉庫作業員、建設作業員、飲食関係の人たちが、 “ユニフォームとして本当に着ているパンツ”のイメージです。
でも、そのクールさに憧れた僕たち日本人は、 それをファッションとしてのワークパンツに昇華させたり、 スケーターたちが裾をボロボロにしながら穿いてきました。
そんな生地の第二弾として、今回は グレー を作りました。 今日、Ryo 君が合わせてくれたスタイルは、 TCB のイメージよりも、少し“大人のスケーター”。
板に乗っていなくても、 靴やパンツの選び方に、10代の頃の根っこのカルチャーが滲む。
40代になると、そういうところがたまらなく素敵に見えます。
それはスーツ姿でも同じで、 名刺入れで「おっ」と思わされたり、 Y シャツの下にお守りみたいなシルバーが覗いていたり。
きっと元ヤンキーなんだろうな、なんて想像しながら、 その笑顔にキュンとしたり。
もちろん、このパンツをガンガンのワークウェアとして穿いてもらうのもいいし、 元スケーターの方に、少し上品に合わせてもらうのも、すごく素敵だと思います。
Green and Brown chinos were a big hit last time.
But these are not just “fashion chinos.”
The fabric is based on real American workwear — the kind of pants actually worn as uniforms by truck drivers, warehouse workers, construction crews, and people in the food service industry.
And yet, we Japanese have always been drawn to that toughness.
We elevated it into fashion work pants, and skaters wore them until the hems were completely worn through.
As the second chapter of that same fabric story,
this time we created Grey.
Today’s styling by Ryo leans a little more toward a
grown-up skater than the typical TCB image.
Even without standing on a board,
you can still see the culture someone grew up with —
in their shoes, in the way they choose their pants.
And once you reach your 40s,
those quiet traces of youth start to look incredibly beautiful.
It’s the same with suits.
A card case that makes you pause and smile,
a small piece of silver tucked under a dress shirt like a personal talisman.
You start imagining, “He must have been a bit of a rebel once,”
and before you know it, you’re charmed by his gentle smile.
Of course, these pants can be worn hard as true workwear.
But they would look just as beautiful styled with a little elegance —
especially on those who once lived their skater days.
