RICOHのGR IVを買い逃したなぁ…とホームページを眺めながら落ち込んでいたところ、365日児島のどこかでシャッターを切っている写真の師匠が、久しぶりにTCBに遊びに来てくれました。
そして笑っちゃうくらいの偶然で、師匠が着ていたのはGRのプリントTシャツ。
「あぁ、やっぱり予約が始まった時点で自分も手に入れておくべきだった…」と、少しだけ後悔。
まぁ「後悔」と書くとちょっと大げさかもしれません。
結局のところ、写真は撮った瞬間にもう過去になる。
正直カメラは何でも良いんです。
大事なのは、様々なシーンでシャッターチャンスを逃さないこと。
そして、その切り取った瞬間のどこかにTCBを着てくれている姿があれば、それ以上に嬉しいことはないなと思います。
I was feeling a little down, staring at the RICOH website and regretting that I had missed out on the GR IV.
Just then, my photography mentor—who seems to be out shooting somewhere in Kojima 365 days a year—dropped by TCB for the first time in a while.
And in a laughably perfect coincidence, he happened to be wearing a T-shirt printed with “GR.”
“I really should have ordered one the moment reservations opened…” I thought, with just a touch of regret.
Well, maybe calling it “regret” is a bit of an exaggeration.
At the end of the day, every photo becomes the past the moment you press the shutter.
Honestly, the camera itself doesn’t matter so much. What truly matters is not missing the chance to capture those fleeting moments.
And if, in one of those captured moments, someone happens to be wearing TCB, there’s nothing that could make me happier.
