DENIMで何かを作る時は気にしないけど夏に涼しく着て貰おうと思って選んだ素材はリネン
そしてこのシャツでもうひとつこだわったのが「透け感」。

生地を選定する段階では、どのくらい透けると“ちょうどいい色気”なのか？を、
専務の胸元で真剣に検証しました。

実際に生地を乳首にあてて、
「このくらいならセーフ？」
「いや、ちょっと見えすぎ？」
と、かなり真面目に議論したのも今となってはいい思い出です。

…が、結局完成した製品を着てみたら、胸の位置にはポケットがあって生地が二重に。
せっかく追求した透け感はあまり関係なくなってしまったという、ちょっと切ない結末でした（笑）。

When we’re making something in denim, we usually don’t think twice about fabric choices.
But for this piece — something we wanted people to wear comfortably in the summer — we went with linen.

And one more detail we obsessed over with this shirt was the level of sheerness.

During the fabric selection process, we had a very serious debate:
How see-through is “just sexy enough”?

So naturally, we tested the fabric on our executive director’s chest — yes, specifically over his nipples — and said things like:
“Is this level okay?”
“Hmm… maybe that’s a bit too much?”

Looking back, it’s kind of funny, but at the time, we were completely serious.

…But when the final shirt was ready and we actually tried it on, we realized something:
The chest area has a pocket — meaning, double layers of fabric.
All that effort we put into the perfect sheerness?
It didn’t really matter in the end.

A bittersweet conclusion, for sure. (But hey, that’s part of the fun.)
