1週間ほど山籠りをしていたらしく、
「節制して体重が落ちたんだ」
と、私へのアピールがとにかく激しいツルットさん。
確かに久しぶりに見る姿は、少しスッキリとして精悍な顔つき。
そして精悍になったといえば、ツルットさんだけではありません。
もうひとつ、その成長に驚いたのがLate S40’sのセットアップです。
聞けば山籠り中も、さすがに過酷すぎる環境の時を除いては、毎日のように着用してくださっていたとのこと。
本人は余分なものを落とし、 Late S40’sはしっかりと表情を増やして帰ってきました。
写真でも確認できるほどアタリや色の濃淡が出始め、段々と良い顔になってきています。
山籠りの成果は、本人にもデニムにも、しっかりと現れているようです。
今回の動画では、そんなLate S40’sの成長具合をはじめ、最近の店頭ラインナップや、8月のTCBについてお話ししています。

Apparently, Tsurutto-san had spent about a week holed up in the mountains, and he has been making very sure that I know how much weight he lost by watching what he ate.
To be fair, when I saw him again after a while, he did look noticeably leaner and sharper.
And speaking of looking sharper, Tsurutto-san wasn’t the only one.
The other thing that surprised me was how much his Late S40’s setup had evolved.
Apparently, even while he was away in the mountains, he wore it practically every day—except, understandably, when the conditions became too extreme.
Tsurutto-san came back having shed some excess weight.
The Late S40’s came back having gained plenty of character.
The creases, wear marks, and tonal contrast are now visible even in the photographs, and the denim is gradually developing a really great look.
It seems the mountain retreat left its mark on both the man and the denim.
