実は最近、個人的なマイブームがBLACK DENIM。

「毎日、何を着ているの？」と聞かれたら、

Purrcules BKBKのカバーオールに、Catface Trousers BK。

2026年の私は、気がつけばほとんど毎日この組み合わせです。

そんな中、今年の秋冬用に仕込んでいたBKBKの生地が出来上がってきました。

さて、この生地で何を作ろうか。

以前にもS40’sでBKBKを作りました。

ただ、あれからS40’sのシルエットを見直し、New S40’sへとアップデートしています。

それなら今回は、New S40’s Jacketの型紙を使って作ろう。

そう決めました。

そしてもちろん、セットアップで着るのが大好きな私たちですから、S40’s Jeansも一緒に作っています。

BKBKを作るたびに書いていますが、Blackの生地で「色落ちした先」まで考えて作られている物は、意外と多くありません。

黒は、黒いままが完成形。

色が褪せたら、そろそろ買い替え時。

そんな扱いをされる服も多いと思います。

でも、TCBのBKBKは、色が落ちてからも面白い。

いや、むしろ色が落ちてからが本番かもしれません。

最近、夏の街を見渡すと、

色褪せた黒Tに、薄いブルージーンズ。

あの組み合わせが妙に目を惹きます。

それと同じロジックで、色褪せたBKBKのセットアップを作っていくのも、絶対に格好良いと思うんです。

もちろん、しっかり穿き込んでヒゲやアタリを刻みたい人には、インディゴ以上と言ってもいいほど、迫力のあるコントラストを見せてくれます。

全体をゆっくりグレーへ育てても良い。

ヒゲやアタリを強く刻んでも良い。

黒を黒のまま楽しむ。

そして、黒が褪せていく途中も楽しむ。

育てられるBLACK DENIMとして、ぜひ自由に穿いてみてください。

Recently, I’ve found myself completely obsessed with BLACK DENIM.
If you asked me, “What do you wear every day?”
My answer would be:
The Purrcules BKBK Coverall with the Catface Trousers BK.
Without even realizing it, this combination has become my uniform for most of 2026.
Meanwhile, the BKBK fabric we had prepared for this autumn and winter has finally arrived.
So, what should we make with it?
We have made the S40’s in BKBK before.
Since then, however, we have revisited the silhouette and updated the pattern to create the New S40’s.
So this time, we decided to use the New S40’s Jacket pattern.
And of course, because we love wearing denim as a full setup, we are also making the S40’s Jeans to match.
I write this every time we make something in BKBK, but surprisingly few black fabrics are created with much thought given to how they will look after years of fading.
For many clothes, black is considered complete while it is still black.
Once the colour begins to fade, it is probably time to replace it.
But TCB’s BKBK remains interesting even after the colour starts to disappear.
In fact, that may be when it really begins.
Recently, when I look around the streets in summer, I often find myself drawn to the combination of a faded black T-shirt and light blue jeans.
Following that same logic, I believe that wearing a BKBK setup until it fades beautifully will look absolutely incredible.
And for those who want to wear it hard and carve deep whiskers and wear marks into the fabric, BKBK can produce a contrast that is every bit as powerful as indigo—perhaps even more so.
You can let the whole garment slowly evolve into shades of grey.
Or you can create strong whiskers and sharply defined fades.
Enjoy the black while it is still black.
Then enjoy every stage as that black gradually fades away.
This is BLACK DENIM that you can truly make your own.
