サイズで悩まれているお客様に、時々ご試着いただいている色落ちサンプル。
もちろん色落ちサンプルなので、サイズに限りがあったり、すべての品番を揃えられるわけではないのですが、新品を試着していただいた後に、穿き込まれたサンプルを穿いていただくと、色の変化はもちろん、穿き心地の良さに本当に驚かれることがあります。
今日もキュンに、
「ご試着のお客様がメチャクチャ素敵なんで見てください！」
と呼ばれて、思わずお願いして撮影させていただいたお客様。
TCB 50’sを、あえて2〜3サイズアップで穿いていただいた雰囲気がとても懐かしく、すごく自然でした。
新品の時には少し大きく感じるサイズも、
洗って、穿いて、身体に馴染んでいくと、
また違った表情に見えてくる。
TCBでは、生デニムを洗って乾燥機にかけ、しっかり縮めた状態で店頭に出しています。
なので、基本的にご購入後に大きく縮むことはありません。
逆に、色落ちサンプルを穿いていただくことで、縮みではなく、“穿き馴染み”の方を体感していただけるかもしれません。
縮率は計算できます。
でも、穿き伸びや馴染み方は、着用される方のライフスタイルや、選ばれるサイズ感によって変わります。
だからこそ、数字だけでは分からない部分を、実際に穿いて感じていただけたら嬉しいです。

For customers who are unsure about sizing, we sometimes offer them the chance to try on our faded sample pairs.
Of course, because they are faded samples, the available sizes are limited, and we cannot prepare every model in every size.
But after trying on a brand-new pair, when customers then try on a pair that has been worn in, they are often genuinely surprised — not only by the change in color, but also by how comfortable the jeans feel.
Today, Kyun called me over and said,
“Please come and take a look. This customer looks amazing in them!”
So I couldn’t help but ask if we could take a few photos.
The customer tried on a pair of TCB 50’s, intentionally sized up by about two or three sizes.
The atmosphere was very nostalgic, and it looked incredibly natural.
A size that may feel a little big when new can take on a completely different look after being washed, worn, and allowed to settle into the body.
At TCB, we wash our raw denim, tumble dry it, and shrink it properly before putting it out in the shop.
So basically, there should not be any major shrinkage after purchase.
On the other hand, by trying on a faded sample, you may be able to experience not the shrinkage, but the way denim softens, stretches slightly, and becomes familiar with the body through wear.
Shrinkage can be calculated.
But how much a pair of jeans stretches and settles in depends on the wearer’s lifestyle and the size they choose.
That is why we hope you can experience the parts that cannot be understood by numbers alone, by actually putting them on.
The faded samples displayed at TCB can generally be picked up, touched, and tried on.
