大きな犬と一緒に、毎日10,000歩散歩する時に履きたいと思って購入した Air Max 95。
最近、少しフライングで着用させていただいている Purrcules Jacket BKBK と、New Carpenter Pants の BKBK を合わせて着ていたのですが、
「なんか相性が良いな」
と思ってよく見てみると、どれもブラックに対して、ネオンカラーのグリーンが効いているという共通点がありました。
Purrcules も、元ネタである Hercules のグリーンのバータックを採用したのが始まりです。
Indigo で採用した色目を Black に横展開した時は、まさかここまでアイコンのように効いてくれるとは思っていませんでしたが、今ではとても気に入っているポイントです。
私が10代の頃、当時50代くらいの、服にうるさそうな方たちは、アメカジの中にも自分なりのルールを持っている方が多かった印象があります。
靴が黒ならベルトも黒にする。
時計に合わせて小物の色を選ぶ。
中でも驚いたのは、
「今日の時計は赤サブだから、ポケットのバンダナは赤にした」
と言われた時でした。笑
当時はそこまで考えるのかと驚きましたが、今になって思うのは、自分自身のこだわりを大切にして、自分がテンション良く付き合えるなら、それが一番のルールなのかもしれないということです。
紹介しておきながら申し訳ありませんが、BK Painter はほとんど完売しており、残るはサイズ34のみとなりました。

I bought these Air Max 95s thinking they would be the perfect pair for walking 10,000 steps every day with a big dog.
Recently, I’ve been wearing them a little ahead of schedule together with the Purrcules Jacket BKBK and the New Carpenter Pants BKBK.
At first, I simply thought,
“They somehow go really well together.”
But when I looked more closely, I realized they all share the same detail: black as the base, with a neon green accent.
For Purrcules, it all started with the green bar tacks from the original Hercules piece that inspired it.
When we carried over the color we had used on the Indigo version into the Black version, I never imagined it would become such an iconic detail. But now, it has become one of my favorite points.
When I was in my teens, I remember that many of the people in their fifties who seemed very particular about clothing had their own rules, even within American casual style.
If the shoes were black, the belt had to be black.
They would choose accessories to match the color of their watch.
The one that surprised me most was when someone said,
“Today I’m wearing my Red Sub, so I chose a red bandana for my pocket.”
I remember thinking, “You really think that far?” Haha.
At the time, it surprised me. But now, at this age, I feel that if you value your own sense of detail and it helps you enjoy what you wear, then maybe that is the best rule of all.
