あまり季節を意識せず、一年中ほとんど同じ商品を作り続けているTCB。
店頭の景色も大きく変わることは少ないのですが、ここ数年、夏が近づくと少しだけ作っているのが Detachable Collar Work Shirt と Painter Shorts です。
シャツはもちろん、ショーツのデニムにもヨコ糸にリネンを使用しています。
デニムらしい見た目はそのままに、穿いた時の肌離れがよく、暑い時期でも気持ちよく着用していただける生地です。
汗をかいても、洗っても乾きが早いのもこの生地の良いところ。
特にシャツは、個人的には素肌にそのまま着るのが一番気持ち良いと思っています。
季節感を前面に出すことの少ないTCBですが、これはちゃんと夏に着たくなる服です。

TCB has never been a brand that pays too much attention to seasons.
We tend to keep making the same products all year round, and the view inside our shop does not change dramatically.
But over the past few years, as summer approaches, there are two items we make in small quantities: the Detachable Collar Work Shirt and Painter Shorts.
Of course the shirt uses linen, but the denim used for the shorts also has linen in the weft.
It keeps the look of denim, but the fabric feels comfortable against the skin and does not cling too much, making it easy to wear even in hot weather.
Another great thing about this fabric is how quickly it dries, whether after sweating or after washing.
Personally, I think the shirt feels best when worn directly against the skin.
TCB does not often put seasonality at the front of what we do, but these are clothes that genuinely make sense for summer.
For anyone who wants to enjoy denim all year round, this is a combination I would really like you to try.
