TCBで修行をした後、
現在はパリの Super Stitch で働いているFUMIYAが、
ビザの申請のため日本に一時帰国しています。
日本滞在中は、TCBでアルバイトとして手伝ってくれています。
そんな中、Super Stitch の Arthur から
「もう、いしはるうどんは食べた？」
という連絡が来たそうで、
みんなで一緒に、いしはるうどんへランチに行きました。
児島にいる時、日本にいる時には、
FUMIYAもなかなか実感できなかったと思いますが、
海があって、山があって、ジーンズがある街。
児島は本当に素晴らしい場所だと、
今なら感じてくれていると思います。
綿糸が無くなれば、車で10分のところに糸屋さんがあって、
Union Special の調子が狂えば、
30分後にはミシン屋さんが工具を持って診に来てくれる。
洗いたければ、歩いて1分先にジーンズの洗い工場がある。
遊ぶ場所も、女の子との出会いも、ほとんど無いので、
夜はミシンが友達になる。
そんな場所を、懐かしく、大事にしながら、
またパリでも大いに活躍してくれたらと思います。

※先日たまたま私も映り込んだいしはるうどんのYoutubeをストーリーで紹介した際に、真っ先にArthur からDMが来ました！
次回彼が来日の際は一緒にいしはるに行く事を約束
いしはるFumiyaと行ったよ！と写真を送ると彼からもParisでのFumiyaの写真が送られてきました。
愛されてるみたいで一安心笑

After training at TCB,
Fumiya, who is now working at Super Stitch in Paris,
has temporarily returned to Japan to apply for his visa.
During his stay in Japan,
he has been helping out at TCB as a part-time worker.
Around that time, Arthur from Super Stitch apparently sent him a message saying,
“Have you had Ishihara Udon yet?”
So we all went to Ishihara Udon together for lunch.
When he was living in Kojima,
or even when he was in Japan,
I don’t think Tanaka was able to fully feel it back then —
but a town with the sea, the mountains, and jeans.
Kojima really is a wonderful place,
and I think he can truly feel that now.
If we run out of cotton yarn,
the yarn supplier is just a 10-minute drive away.
If a Union Special starts acting up,
a sewing machine technician will show up with tools within 30 minutes.
If you want to wash jeans,
there’s a denim washing factory just a one-minute walk away.
There aren’t many places to play,
and not many chances to meet girls either,
so at night, the sewing machine becomes your friend.
I hope he carries that place with him —
with nostalgia and care —
and continues to do great work back in Paris.
