長年、私が心から敬愛してやまないMOTOの本池秀夫さん。
その手から生み出される革製品は、時を経ても色褪せることなく、むしろ使うほどに深みを増していきます。

そんな本池さんにどうしてもTCBのためのベルトを作って頂きたい──。
思い続けてお願いし続け、構想を重ねること約3年。
そしてこの度、ようやく念願の一本が完成しました。

ここで少しだけ、私の考えている最近のTCBのミッションについて。
それはTCBを穿いてくださる皆さんが、
『毎朝元気よく学校や会社に向かってほしい！』
ということです。

ジーンズを穿いて出勤できる人なら、穿く瞬間に気持ちが高まるように。
スーツや制服で働く人なら、週末にTCBを穿く時間が充電になるように。
40を過ぎた頃から、私自身もそういう感覚をより強く実感するようになりました。

そんな思いの延長線上で、今回のベルトは生まれました。
ネクタイを締めない私にとって、毎朝このベルトを締める瞬間が
「よし行くか！今日も楽しもう！」
というスイッチになるのです。

デニムやレザーが育つのはもちろんですが、
気づけば持ち主自身の成長を後押ししてくれる。
そんな“大人の変身ベルト”のような存在になればと思い、心を込めて作って頂きました。
For many years, I have respected Hideo Motoike san in many ways.
The leather goods he creates never fade over time or I’d better say they get better in quality with use.

I really wanted Motoike-san to make a belt for TCB. After nearly three years of asking and planning,
we have finally received the long-awaited belt from him.

Here, I’d like to briefly talk about my current mission for TCB.
I want everyone who wears TCB to “start their day with much energy at school or at work!”

For those who wear jeans to work, I want the moment they put them on to lift their spirits.
For those who work in suits or uniforms, I want the time they spend wearing TCB on the weekend to recharge.
I began to feel this sensation more strongly myself after turning 40. This belt was born from that desire. As someone who doesn’t wear a tie, the moment I fasten this belt each morning is the moment
that makes me think, “Okay, let’s go! Let’s make today another great day!”

Not only does it help the denim and leather grow,　but before you know it, it will also encourage the wearer’s own personal growth.
We had it made with love by Moto, hoping it would become like a “transformation belt. for you”　（If you know the Kamen Rider series, you understand what I’m saying;)
