靴の修理屋さんが、相棒として愛用してくれているCathead JK。

きっと、ブーツのオイルや靴墨が付くことも多いはずですが、それが逆に良い味になっていて、写真によってはほんのり茶色がかった色味にも見え、それがまた素敵なんです。

ジャケットの裏側には、着用スタートの日付と、私も大好きな言葉
“connecting the dots”
そして
“JUST DO IT”
の文字が刻まれています。

毎朝、仕事前に袖を通すとき、必ずその言葉が目に入る。そんな小さな習慣が、着る人の背中を少しでも押せていたら、作り手としてこれほど嬉しいことはありません。

ふと、甲子園球児がピンチのときに帽子の裏のメッセージを見つめるシーンを思い出しました。

本当に素敵な“相棒”として、大切にしていただいていることが伝わってきて、心から嬉しく思います。
A cobbler has made the Cathead JK his trusted companion.

Naturally, boot oil and shoe polish are bound to rub off onto it over time—but that’s part of the charm. In some photos, the jacket even takes on a warm, brownish hue, which I find incredibly beautiful.

Inside the jacket, he has inscribed the date he started wearing it, along with two of my favorite phrases:
“connecting the dots”
and
“JUST DO IT.”

By seeing those words each morning before starting work, I hope they serve as a quiet source of encouragement—like a ritual that grounds and motivates him.

It reminded me of those scenes at Koshien, where high school baseball players glance at the messages written inside their caps when facing tough moments.

Knowing that this jacket is cherished as a true companion makes me genuinely happy.
