ウエスタンシャツって、最初はカウボーイたちのリアルな労働着だと思っていました。
でも、冷静に歴史を紐解いていくと――どうやらそう単純な話ではなさそうです。

その過程で出会ったのが「Dude Ranch（デュードランチ）」という言葉。
それは都会の人々に西部の暮らしを“体験”してもらうための観光牧場のこと。

ウエスタンシャツに見られる、シェイプされた美しいシルエットや、豪華なシェルボタン。
作業着にしては装飾が多く、ダブルヨークにノコギリ型のSawtoothポケットまでついてくる。

それらはすべて、都会の“デュード（Dude）”のための衣装だったのかもしれない――
そう気づいた瞬間、ウエスタンシャツの見方が変わりました。

そこで、そんな「観光牧場のワークウェア」だった時代、
まだド派手になる前の1950年代のウエスタンシャツをイメージして作ったのが、
この Dude Ranch Shirts です。

真夏にジーンズとGジャンのセットアップはさすがに厳しいけれど、
それでも「夏にデニムで過ごしたい」という方（私のことですが）、
冷房対策としてもおすすめです。

この夏、現代のDude Ranchを企んでいる方にもぜひ。
At first, I thought western shirts were the real workwear of cowboys.
But as I dug into the history, I realized—it might not be that simple.

That’s when I came across the term “Dude Ranch.”
These were guest ranches where city folks could experience life in the American West.

Western shirts often feature a beautifully shaped silhouette and luxurious shell buttons.
For something considered workwear, they’re a bit too decorative—with double yokes and sawtooth pockets.

I began to see them differently.
Maybe they weren’t made for cowboys after all, but rather as costumes for “dudes” from the city.

Inspired by that era—when western shirts were still workwear but already had that touch of show—we created our version based on the 1950s style:
The Dude Ranch Shirts.

Wearing jeans and a denim jacket in the peak of summer might be too much,
but for those (like me) who still want to wear denim through the season,
this shirt is a perfect piece—for air-conditioned rooms or your own modern-day dude ranch adventure.
